  • Manor Park Fields: Tawny Owl - 1 - at 6am on border with cemetery. ; Water Rail - 1 - in lower end of water couse in small pool 16:15.
  • Orgreave Lakes: BEAN GOOSE (Tundra/Taiga) - 1 - the adult rossicus feeding with Greylags by large lake from at least 11.54-14.00 ; Pink-footed Goose - 71 - 1st winter with Greylags flock plus skein of c.70 NW at 13.00 ; BEAN GOOSE (Tundra/Taiga) - 1 - with Greylags still near bridge at 14:00 ; Greylag Goose - 85 - flock of 84 plus 1 with Canada Goose flock ; Canada Goose - 81 - flock of 80 plus 1 with Greylag flock ; Goosander - 5 - males early afternoon ; Cormorant - 9 ; Snipe - 4 - on island ; Goldeneye - 3 - Males. ; BEAN GOOSE (Tundra/Taiga) - 1 - flew off east with greylags and pink-foot c16.10 ; CASPIAN GULL - 1 - 3rd winter type, in roost with c400 big gulls. ; Scaup - 1 - 1st winter still present ; Little Egret - 1 - 1 flew from reed fringed edge of big lake ; Goosander - 25 - Late afternoon ; Fieldfare - 14 - On big hill

  • Tinsley Marshalling Yard: Peregrine - 1 ; Common Buzzard - 1
  • Ulley CP: BEAN GOOSE (Tundra/Taiga) - 1 - in same field above S end of reservoir towards Ulley village, with GLGs (no PFGs). Present at 0945.
  • Weston Park: Wigeon - 1 - Female, on small pond. Unknown origin but unringed and less tame than domesticated mallard types.
  • Whirlow Hall Farm: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2
  • Whiteley Woods: 319 - 1 - Flew into a field tree near Ivy Cottage Lane ; 319 - 1 - Flew into a field tree near Ivy Cottage Lane
  • Wyming Brook: Treecreeper - 1 ; Goldcrest - 1 - both in car park ; Fieldfare - 10 - in neighbouring field

  • Broad Lane: Waxwing - 30 - Small flock flying over.
  • Broomhall: Waxwing - 50+ - N over Filey St
  • Burngreave Cemetery: Waxwing - 50 - Two small flocks(c50 in total) flying over Burngreave Cemetery heading NE at 13:55
