  • Millhouses Park: Mandarin - 8 - Pair and a female with five ducklings
  • Orgreave Lakes: Black Tern - 4 - 4 adults at 17:15. 2 left north shortly after, with the other 2 remaining until early evening. ; Lapwing - 6 - Pair with 4 chicks on island. ; Black Tern - 2 - feeding on a sedge hatch. still present until 20:20 at least. ; Black Tern - 2 - another photo ; Song Thrush - 3 - Singing in the evening. ; Redshank - 4 - 2 pairs alarming and chasing corvids, one chick feeding on small lake shore ; Oystercatcher - 2 - pair ferrying food to 3 well grown chicks on small lake island ; Lapwing - 4 - pair with 3 small chicks on small lake island, and another adult with at least 2 small chicks on small lake shore

  • Silverwood Lagoon: BLACK-NECKED GREBE - 5 - two adults each feeding a well-grown youngster (lost one) + third adult ; Little Grebe - 2+ - one pair now feeding young ; Great Crested Grebe - 2 ; Cetti's Warbler - 1
  • Tankersley - Evra wasteland: Lapwing - 6 - Adult pair with four fledglings
  • Tideswell area: Curlew - 2 ; Swift - 3 ; Swallow - 2 ; Swallow - 2

  • Dukes Road: Dunlin - 1 - low to N in flight calling Brusten Croft, unusual here.
  • Forge Dam: Chiffchaff - 2 - singing ; Rook - 10+ - including adults feeding fledged juvs ; Moorhen - 3 - no chicks ; Mandarin - 3 - pair and an eclipse male - no chicks ; Mallard - 10 - no chicks ; Tufted Duck - 1 - male
  • Fulwood Head: Pied Wagtail - 2 ; Tree Sparrow - 2+ - adult feeding young in farm nest box
  • Grange Park Golf Course: 319 - 2+ - 2 over Watson's Tip(1 brief hover), SK3993, 1 at Upper Kennel Wood SK3894 ; Stock Dove - 1 - singing ; Woodpigeon - 9+ - singing ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 3+ - nest, 20+ ft up Ash, overhanging f/p, SK384941 ; Skylark - 1+ - singing at Watson's Tip ; Swallow - 1+ ; House Martin - 1+ ; Pied Wagtail - 1+ - on fairways
