  • Aldwarke; Liberty Steels: Raven - 3 - presumably juvs, together on rooftops
  • Bar Brook Valley: Whinchat - 5 - two pairs and female south of pond. ; Stonechat - 9+ - two family groups of 4 and 5 and several singles. ; Tree Pipit - 2 - Singing south of pond.
  • Baslow Edge: Cuckoo - 1 - Calling; heard from observer’s garden
  • Brown Edge: Swift - 6
  • Cowell Flat: Tree Pipit - 1 - displaying.
  • Dukes Road: WHITE-TAILED EAGLE - 1 - seen distantly towards top of Abbey Brook 13:40 ; Red Kite - 1 ; 319 - 3 - 1 mobbing Red Kite the other 2 soaring high up ; Meadow Pipit - 6+ ; Golden Plover - 3+ - several adults seen plus three dead fledglings lying within impression of tyre tracks by flagstone path - looked like they had been run over by a vehicle! ; Curlew - 2 - pair apparently in distress ; Lesser Redpoll - 1 - in birch trees next to entrance gate. ; Dunnock - 1 ; Stonechat - 5 - adults with 3 fledged juv's. ; Whitethroat - 1
  • Firsby Res: Coot - 6 ; Mallard - 6+ - F with ducklings. ; Little Grebe - 1 ; Lapwing - 2 - Pair on farmland. ; Pied Wagtail - 1 ; 319 - 2 - Pair circling site high. ; Kestrel - 1 ; Swift - 7 - Low over farmland. ; House Martin - 4 - Over Arbour Lane. ; Swallow - 1 - Near houses. ; Goldcrest - 2 ; Blue Tit - 4+ - Chicks in nest in stump. ; Reed Warbler - 2 ; Whitethroat - 4+ ; Blackcap - 2 ; Chiffchaff - 1 ; Linnet - 10+ ; Song Thrush - 2 - Singing Adult ; Yellowhammer - 2 - Singing Males.

Possible nest site in bramble patch, ; 319 - 1 - low over Far Bank, N edge of park ; Kestrel - 1 - Possible pair, calls from woodland adj to 10th tees. ; Swallow - 1+ ; Black-headed Gull - 1 ; Stock Dove - 1+ - singing ; Song Thrush - 1+ - including 1 feeding on 17th fairway ; Mistle Thrush - 2 - feeding on 18th fairway ; Greenfinch - 1 - singing between 17th and 18th fairways
  • Grange Park Golf Course, Upper Kennel Wood: Grey Heron - 1 - up from edge of pond into trees ; Moorhen - 5+ - family party, 2 adults with 3+ recently fledged chicks ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1+ - nest in dead tree, calls of juv(s) and adult(s) ; Goldcrest - 1 - singing

  • Middleton Moor: Shelduck - 1 ; Oystercatcher - 2 ; Reed Warbler - 3 - Singing
  • Orgreave Lakes: Arctic Tern - 1 - 1 briefly at 09:50.
  • Owlthorpe: Willow Warbler - 2 - Heard on sites C and D, but video from site D
  • Parkgate; *Banana* plantation: Chiffchaff - 2 - 1 singing ; Blackcap - 2 - singing ; Kestrel - 1 - hunting ; Linnet - 1 ; Greenfinch - 2 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - calling quietly from woodland ; Willow Warbler - 2 - singing
  • Peat Pits: Lapwing - 4 - adults with 2 well grown juveniles in surrounding fields. ; Skylark - 3 - all food carrying. ; Reed Bunting - 2 - pair nest building ?. ; Curlew - 2
  • Rocher Top: Yellowhammer - 1 - male singing on fence post.
  • Rocher Wood: Cuckoo - 1 - flying north-west over open part of wood ; Redstart - 1 - singing in top of oak tree.
  • Roundwood Golf course: Mistle Thrush - 1 - singing
  • RVCP, Meadowgate Lake: Swift - 180+
  • Silverwood Lagoon: Little Grebe - 4+ - now two pairs feeding young (3+2)
  • Underbank Res: Whooper Swan - 1
  • West Nab: Lapwing - 3 - adults with well grown juv.
