Kimberworth: Wren - 1 - Roosting pouch on house wall has been turned into a nest. At least 3 gapes observed. Wren uses pouch all year round.

Parkgate Canal Basin: Mute Swan - 23 - inc 6 in from NE ; Black-headed Gull - c40 - inc 2 juvs ; Mallard - 6

R Don, Rotherham Centre; adjacent interchange: Grey Wagtail - 3 ; Mallard - 17 - mostly juvs of varying ages ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - female ; Black-headed Gull - 6 ; Sand Martin - 01-Feb - around colony; presumably majority of juvs now fledged & gone

Redmires Middle Res: Yellow-legged Gull - 2 - adult and 2nd year on shoreline in the morning

Endcliffe Park: Dipper - 1 - Hunters Bar at 07:30 ; Swift - 6 - circling over recreation area then passing by eaves of house in Rustlings Road
