R Don, Effingham St: Yellow-legged Gull - 2 - a juv and 2s this afternoon ; Common Gull - 1 - first summer

R Don, Norfolk Bridge: 335 - 1 - at 04:30, flew onto roofs until 05:00 when lost to view. No further sign by 06:15

Redmires Middle Res: Oystercatcher - 2 - adults ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 70 - late evening, but left E towards Sheffield 22:20 ; Black-headed Gull - 40 - roosted ; Yellow-legged Gull - 6 - 4 adults and 2 third year late evening

Redmires Plantation: Sparrowhawk - 1 - juvenile perched giving good views.

Redmires Top Res: Little Ringed Plover - 1

Thorpe Hesley: Swift - C25 - Screaming group over village in the evening

Attercliffe: 335 - 1 - relocated on Trustmarque warehouse roof at 20:15, viewed from Corby St

Firsby Res: Little Egret - 1 - Feeding in shallows and on exposed mud at far end of main Res. ; Moorhen - 2 - Feeding on mud. ; Mallard - 6 - F with 5 well grown ducklings. ; Grey Heron - 2 ; Pied Wagtail - 1 ; Black-headed Gull - 2 ; 319 - 1 - On telegraph pole ; Kestrel - 1 ; Sedge Warbler - 2 - Singing from Reed beds at opposite ends of site. ; Yellowhammer - 2 - Singing. ; House Martin - 20+ - Mixed flock with Swallows overhead.
