Crookes Valley Park: Herring Gull - 2 - adult and 2cy loitering around Mallard chicks on lake ; Mallard - 12+ - including females with 3 fresh chicks and 2 well-grown chicks respectively ; Coot - 5+ - 2 adult pairs with 2 and 1 half-grown chicks respectively, plus another adult ; Moorhen - 2+ - pair with 2 half-grown chicks on lake ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Goldcrest - 1 - singing ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - adult around nest
