Handsworth: Mediterranean Gull - 1 - Adult flying west wiith6 BHG at 06.40.A nice addition to the house list.

Orgreave Lakes: Little Egret - 9 - Record count this morning, including a colour-ringed bird - Orange with black 'K' on left leg and Black with white '6' on right ; Hobby - 1 ; Little Egret - 9 - Record site count, including colour-ringed bird 'K6' ringed as a nestling at Walthamstow Marsh in May 19 ; Lapwing - 71 - Including 8 juvs ; Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Little Ringed Plover - 1 - Fledged juv

Ravenfield Park: Moorhen - 3 - Adult with two fully grown chicks. ; Mallard - 5+ ; Mute Swan - 2 - Resident pair did not breed despite several attempts at Firsby. ; Kingfisher - 1 - Call only.

Rawmarsh: Swift - present - light but noticeable SW movement mid-morning

Redmires Top Res: Little Egret - 1 - still feeding along dam wall and conduit outflow

Wharncliffe Side: Sand Martin - 2 ; Swift - 4+ - Pair visiting presumed nest site by Main Road

Beauchief Golf Course: Swift - c40 - PM ; Tawny Owl - 1 - Mobbed by blackbird ; Swallow - c10 ; Kingfisher - 1 - Flew across pond near 11th hole ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Kestrel - 1

Lodge Moor: Yellow-legged Gull - 4 - 3 adults and 3cy in fields on Brownhills Lane in evening with LBBG and BHG flock.

Loxley: 324 - 1 - Hummingbird Hawk Moth in garden.

Millhouses: Goldfinch - 6 - Family party including albinistic juv. apparently not able to get on to the feeders. ; Goldfinch - 6 - Another picture of albinistic juv.
