  • Silver Wood: Chiffchaff - 9 - 6 singing disused r/way line, 2 singing southern edge of main woods, 1 singing near Woodlaithes duckpond ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - drumming in SE finger of woods ; Mistle Thrush - 1 - singing ; Blackcap - 6 - 3 singing r/way line, 1 singing lower woods (Gulling Wood), 2 singing woodland south of Hollings Lane ; Nuthatch - 3 - 2 singing main woods, 1 singing south of Hollings Lane ; Chaffinch - 7+ - at least 7 singing in area, up on recent years ; Yellowhammer - 2 - pair on Pingle Lane Tip ; Linnet - 4 - on upper-level of Pingle Lane Tip, 1 singing ; Treecreeper - 1 ; Jay - 1 ; Coal Tit - 2
  • Silverwood Lagoon: Curlew - 1 - in from SW at 07.50, departed east at 08.00
  • Strines Moor: Wheatear - 3 - 2m, 1f in roadside fields
  • Ughill: Curlew - c100 - two colour ringed birds (both ringed in Wales) still with the flock. ; Oystercatcher - 1 ; Golden Plover - c50 - in fields
  • Underbank Res: Grey Heron - 1 - on nest ; Swallow - 1 - west ; Chiffchaff - 9 ; Grey Wagtail - 2 - a pair
  • Upper Common, Scholes: 319 - 1 - low over field mobbed by several Carrion Crows @ 09:55. ; Linnet - 70+ - Feeding in last field(8116) with flax stubble remaining with 3 Magpie and 20+ Wood pigeon.
  • Woodseats: Grey Wagtail - 1 - in Graves Park Beck, near Fraser Drive.

  • Brownhills Lane: Lapwing - 3 - on territory in fields ; Greylag Goose - 22 ; Canada Goose - 8
  • Burbage Rocks: Ring Ouzel - 1 - male ; Golden Plover - 2 - flew over ; Stonechat - 1 ; Curlew - c5 ; Ring Ouzel - 3 - 2 males, 1 female on grass below Higger Tor
  • Endcliffe Park: Mandarin - 3 ; Goldcrest - 2 ; Long-tailed Tit - 3 ; Song Thrush - 1 ; Nuthatch - 1 ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 ; Mandarin - 5 - All males
  • Fulwood garden: Brambling - 10+ - at least 6f and 4m around feeders - some in the photo
  • Fulwood Head: Golden Plover - 200+ - 2 large flocks over totalling 200+, with some birds landing
  • Graves Park: Ring-necked Parakeet - 1 - In trees near lakes, calling. ; Mistle Thrush - 1
  • Greave*s Piece: Lesser Redpoll - 1 - song-flighting ; Yellowhammer - 1 - singing

  • Roughwood School: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1
  • Rud Hill: Stonechat - 1 - male ; Curlew - 3 ; Golden Plover - 45 - in rough fields ; Golden Plover - 45 - party in field joined by another group
  • Shepherd*s Plantation: Coal Tit - 1 - singing ; Great Tit - 1 - singing ; Blackcap - 1 - singing ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Chaffinch - 1 - singing, behind Kimberworth Park pub with at least 2 Goldfinch
  • Shillito Wood: Brambling - 9+ - up to 7 at feeding station at any one time plus 2 heard singing nearby at the same time. All flew NNW around 09.45hrs
  • Silver Wood: Nuthatch - 2 - Singles lots of calls.
  • Stubley Hollow: Chiffchaff - 5 ; 319 - 3
  • Thornbridge Hall: Tufted Duck - 16 ; Little Grebe - 2
  • Upper Common, Scholes: Black-headed Gull - 200+ - following tractor
