  • Silverwood Lagoon: Siskin - 2 - in paddocks alongside main approach track. First site record this year. ; Mute Swan - 2+ - pair and 6 well-grown cygnets ; Sedge Warbler - 1 - singing ; Garden Warbler - 1 - singing ; Yellowhammer - 1 - singing ; Swift - c.15 ; Kestrel - 1 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Grey Heron - 2 - NW ; Reed Warbler - 6+ - 2 singing, others feeding young

  • Brownhills Lane: Lesser Black-backed Gull - 52 - In freshly cut fields this evening ; Herring Gull - 8 - With LBBGs in freshly cut fields this evening ; Black-headed Gull - 5 - With large gulls in freshly cut fields this evening- all adults ; Yellow-legged Gull - 1 - Adult with other large gulls in freshly cut fields this evening ; Curlew - 44 - Feeding in freshly cut field this evening
  • Burbage Moor: Red Kite - 1 - soaring above, mobbed by 2 corvids at one point ; Kestrel - 4 ; Swift - 1

  • Malin Bridge: Long-tailed Tit - c7 - family party on feeders, unusual here ; Blue Tit - 1 - juv, presumably wandering with LTT party, not bred successfully in the surrounding gardens.
