  • Howden Res: Common Sandpiper - 16+ - 7 single adults around the reservoir,plus 3 pairs observed with at least 1 chick each,1 of the pairs had a fledged chick,the other 2 pairs had chicks that could not fly yet. ; Redstart - 3 - A male was observed feeding 2 fledged young in woodland along the banks of the res,giving some superb views.
  • Loxley Valley: Dipper - 2 - adult feeding recently-fledged juvenile near former site of Wisewood Forge ; Grey Wagtail - 2 - female carrying food to nest, with male nearby
  • Mayfield Valley: Kestrel - 2 - Together W of top of Clough Lane ; Peregrine - 3 - Together over David Lane, much calling and interaction. One adult female and 2 apparent imms. St George’s birds?
