My first for Ecclesfield ; Chiffchaff - 4 - Singing on path ; Blackcap - 1 - Singing near rail crossing. ; Bullfinch - 2 - Calling near rail crossing. ; 324 - 100+ - Southern Marsh Orchid. On path before tpt.

Handsworth garden: Starling - 30+ - mostly juveniles, feeding on bread.

Orgreave Lakes: Shoveler - 3 ; Redshank - 5 - 2 adults and 3 fledged juvs ; Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Little Ringed Plover - 2 - Adults ; Ringed Plover - 1 ; Common Tern - 2 - Mid-morning ; Hobby - 1 - West at 10:30 ; Yellow Wagtail - 1 - On west shore ; Little Egret - 2 ; Sedge Warbler - 2 - East shore ; Black-headed Gull - 1 - Colour-ringed adult, black ring with white lettering 2APH.
