Bramley: Swift - 30+ - Screaming over Flanderwell Avenue numerous visits to nests also on Blackburn Avenue 2 chicks in observers loft. ; Sparrowhawk - 2 - Female carrying prey over and Male through Gardens.

Ecclesfield: 319 - 1 - Soaring north over Hartley Brook,mobbed in turn by pair of adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls.

Firsby Res: Grey Heron - 1 - Main Res. ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - Sluice. ; House Martin - 10+ - Over Main Res and Dam wall. ; Swallow - 1 - Low over crops. ; Swift - 1 - Over. ; Cuckoo - 1 - Juvenile low over crops in field next to Main Res. Observers last local record was 2011. ; Yellowhammer - 5 - 4 singing Males ; Chaffinch - 6+ - Juvs bathing in puddles on Arbour Lane. ; Bullfinch - 3 - Orange juvs. ; Reed Warbler - 1+ - Calling in Dam wall reed bed. ; Whitethroat - 3+ ; Red-legged Partridge - 1 ; Pheasant - 1 - Male.

Orgreave Lakes: Little Egret - 3 ; Black-tailed Godwit - 12 - On east shore then flew south at 07:40 ; Avocet - 1 - In at 08:10. Still present 10am ; Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Yellow Wagtail - 3 - Juvs on east shore ; Shoveler - 3 ; Ringed Plover - 2 - Adults

Ravenfield Church: Kestrel - 2+ - Adult and Juvs calling in woodland.

Wharncliffe Side: Robin - 5+ - nest in observers garden, at least 3 juveniles being fed by adult pair

Wickersley Park: Blackcap - 1 - Singing Male.

Parkgate Canal Basin: Bullfinch - 2 - Pair calling 05.20 ; Whitethroat - 1 - Singing ; Chiffchaff - 2 - Singing ; House Martin - 20+ - Mixture of adultss and young near Eastwood lock.

Parkgate; *Banana* plantation: Blackcap - 1 - singing ; Sand Martin - 8+ - feeding over ; Chaffinch - 1 - singing ; Whitethroat - 2 - 1 singing; 1 scolding; probable breeding

Ramsley Res: Siskin - 2+ - family group with at least 2 small fledged young ; Stonechat - 1+ - m with 2 recently fledged young ; Wheatear - 1 - a juv

Roundwood Golf course: Chiffchaff - 1 - singing

Silverwood Lagoon: Tufted Duck - 1+ - female with 7-8 ducklings ; Little Grebe - 6+ - two pairs with dependent young, third pair also present ; Mute Swan - 2+ - president pair with 8 rapidly-growing cygnets ; Reed Warbler - 7+ - two pairs feeding young + 3 singing males ; Reed Bunting - 3 - singing ; Yellowhammer - 1 - singing ; House Martin - c15

Wharncliffe Chase (south): Kestrel - 5 - Family group incl juvs ; Stonechat - 10+ - Mainly juvs ; Peregrine - 1 - Buzzing the planes for 5 mins, mock attacks made on Kestrel - possible juv? ; Swift - 4 ; Skylark - 3 ; Reed Bunting - 3 - 3 males singing
