  • Bowden Housteads Wood: Sparrowhawk - 2 - displaying pair.
  • Dale Dike Res: Oystercatcher - 7 - flying and in fields. ; Tufted Duck - 1 - drake ; Greylag Goose - 12
  • Damflask Res: Great Crested Grebe - 1 - winter plumaged bird. ; Cormorant - 1 ; Common Buzzard - 2 - displaying
  • Derwent Edge: Red Kite - 1 - Over Back Tor then drifted N.
  • Ecclesall Woods: Grey Heron - 7+ - Back on territory. Much calling, interaction and carrying twigs to nest platforms. ; Stock Dove - 4+ - Two singing
  • Firsby Res: Grey Heron - 1 - Asleep at side of main Res. ; 319 - 1 - Sat on set aside field hedge. ; Reed Bunting - 1 - Male. ; Blue Tit - 2 ; Skylark - 3+ - Singing
  • Forge Dam: Ring-necked Parakeet - 2 - in trees S of playground mid-afternoon
  • Handsworth: Goosander - 2 - 1pair flying towards Orgreave at 16.40 was a nice addition to the house list.
  • Langsett Res: Oystercatcher - 2 ; Song Thrush - 4 - singing ; Goldeneye - 1 - male, frequently diving
  • Low Moor, Upper Midhope: Lapwing - c15 - Territorial behaviour ; Curlew - 4
