Dalton/Thrybergh: Osprey - 1 - flew N @ 0705hrs, briefly harassed by corvid; lost from view @ 0708hrs

Dore: House Martin - 5 - 2 at nest, Brickhouse Lane ; Swift - 3 ; Swallow - 4

Dukes Road: Red Kite - 1 - driven off by Curlews

Forge Dam: Mandarin - 6 - Male and Female with 4 ducklings west end of Forge Dam where river Porter enters.

Grange Park Golf Course: Stock Dove - 1 - sing ; Skylark - 1 - sing ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2 - 1@nest, juvs calling ; Swallow - 1 ; Song Thrush - 3 - sing ; Whitethroat - 1 - sing ; Blackcap - 7 - sing ; Chiffchaff - 3 - sing ; Willow Warbler - 1 - sing

Hurlfield: Tawny Owl - 3 - 1 adult 2 young still around.

Moorland Fringe: Nightjar - 1 - male

Orgreave Lakes: Sanderling - 2+ - at least two this morning but possibly as many as 8 through ; Turnstone - 1 - still present ; Sanderling - 3 - None of the earlier reported birds present between 0915 and 1020 when three flew in, circled the main lake twice, landed briefly then flew high to the north.

Padley Gorge: Wood Warbler - 2 - 2 singing males

Parkgate; *Banana* plantation: Pied Wagtail - 3 - flying to & fro between golf course & Parkgate with food ; House Martin - 8 - feeding over woodland ; Linnet - 3 - over ; Swallow - 1 - N ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - flew in from direction of golf course ; Swift - present - 'local' birds feeding over (aerial copulation observed) + distinct, moderate, purposeful N movement ; Mallard - 1pr - SW, then returning NE ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - calling from woodland ; Cormorant - 1 - high to NE
