Rivelin Dams: Grey Heron - 2 - ad and recently fledged juv in conifers on Bottom Res ; Mallard - 10 - Three broods 5,3,2 ; Canada Goose - 7 - Pair + 5 young on dam wall ; Common Sandpiper - 4 - 2 pairs - one ad seen flying through wooded inlet & another alarming by overflow - indicative of young present ; Moorhen - 2 - on Top Res ; Grey Wagtail - 5 - family party of 2 ads + 3 fledged juvs ; Great Crested Grebe - 2 - on Top Res - unusual locality & even seen displaying ; Lesser Redpoll - 1 - calling from conifers ; Siskin - 1 - male observed visiting presumed nest site ; Woodcock - 1 - flushed from damp area of adjacent deciduous wood ; Jay - 1 - being mobbed by Blackbirds

Millhouses Lane garden: Blue Tit - 6 - Two parents feeding four juveniles from bird feeder ; Bullfinch - 1 - Juvenile feeding on bird feeder, parents remaining in background ; Goldfinch - 1 - Juvenile feeding on bird feeder ; Greenfinch - 2 - Adult female and juvenile feeding on bird feeder
