• Cascades @ Trowles Wood: Mallard - 50+ - mainly juvs ; Moorhen - 1 ; Coot - 1+ ; Grey Heron - 2 - adult, with juv? ; Black-headed Gull - 1+ - including adult with juv
• Chesterfield: Lesser Black-backed Gull - 7 - inc ad feeding recently fledged juv on roof of John Pye auctions
• Firsby Res: Moorhen - 1 ; Coot - 1 ; Mallard - 8+ ; Pied Wagtail - 4 - Family party feeding in recently mown grass. ; 319 - 1 ; Kestrel - 5 ; Little Owl - 1 - On farm building. ; Pheasant - 1 ; Red-legged Partridge - 4 ; Swallow - 6 ; Yellowhammer - 6 - Male carrying food others singing. ; Skylark - 3 - Singing. ; Blackcap - 1 - Singing Male. ; Chiffchaff - 2 - Both singing. ; Reed Warbler - 1 ; Song Thrush - 2 ; Linnet - 6 ; Chaffinch - 1 - Singing Male.
• Foxhill, Shaw Hill: House Martin - 2+ ; Blackcap - 1 ; Tawny Owl - 1 - Calling
• Langsett Res: Canada Goose - 110 - 89 adults on western shore plus 21, including 17 well grown goslings feeding on bank below wall. ; Great Crested Grebe - 5 ; Mallard - 3 - Female and 2 ducklings ; Cormorant - 1 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 13 - Western shore ; Oystercatcher - 1 ; Common Sandpiper - 1
• Midhope Res: Swallow - 05-Jun - Feeding over water and resting on dam wall at times ; Siskin - 1+ ; Linnet - 3 ; Meadow Pipit - 03-Apr ; Peregrine - 1 - North of the res ; Willow Warbler - 3 singing ; Common Sandpiper - 3 - Adult pair and independently feeding juvenile. ; 320 - 04-May ; Snipe - 1 - Flew towards Low Moor ; Canada Goose - 1 ; Lapwing - 4 - Flew towards Midhope Moor ; 319 - 1 ; Grey Wagtail - Pair - Feeding bottom of overflow and taking food to nest in large pipe. ; Chiffchaff - 1 singing ; Kestrel - 1 ; Oystercatcher - 1+ - Adult seen but others heard calling out of sight. ; Swift - 2 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 6 - Individuals west and later east, possibly same birds ; Little Grebe - 8 - 7 adults and one large juv being fed. ; Tufted Duck - 8 - Separate females with 2 ducklings each plus other adults. ; Greylag Goose - 68 ; Mallard - c45 - 20 adults and c25 ducklings in 4 family groups. ; Curlew - 1 heard ; Little Ringed Plover - 1 - Feeding on western shore 17.30 to 19.15, called briefly. First here in while for me.

• Orgreave Lakes: 324 - 1 - Red-tipped Clearwing in willows by main flattened overflow above the bridge. ; BLACK-NECKED GREBE - 1 - Adult still present ; Tufted Duck - 50 ; Pochard - 25 - 2 females ; Canada Goose - 233 ; Mute Swan - 53 - Inc 5 cygnets ; Coot - 80 - Inc 2 juvs ; Great Crested Grebe - 21 - Inc 2 juvs ; Little Grebe - 1 ; Cormorant - 1 ; Oystercatcher - 2 ; 319 - 3 ; Peregrine - 1 - Juvenile hunting over tip and small lake ; Greenfinch - 3 - Pair with juvenile. My 1st juv in 13 years at this site! ; Lapwing - 28
• R Don, Effingham St: Kingfisher - 1 - flew past twice ; Black-headed Gull - c30 - inc two fresh juvs ; Moorhen - 1 - still sat on nest ; Canada Goose - 2 - pair and 4 goslings still

• Walkley C of E Cemetery: Stock Dove - 2 - two birds calling/singing
• Wentworth, Cascades: Great Crested Grebe - 1 ; Mute Swan - 2 - 1 pair ; Mallard - 20+ ; Tufted Duck - 15 ; Coot - 1+ - adults and juvs ; 319 - 2 - together low over area, one calling ; Linnet - 1 - singing
