  • Barlow Common: Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Kestrel - 2
  • Firsby Res: Mallard - 4 - All males. ; Moorhen - 2 ; Tawny Owl - 2 - Calling to each other before dawn. ; Kestrel - 1 ; 319 - 1 ; Swallow - 3 - Over. ; Pheasant - 1 ; Red-legged Partridge - 1 ; Rook - 40+ - In sheep paddock ; Jay - 2 ; Mistle Thrush - 1 ; Bullfinch - 3 ; Long-tailed Tit - 12 ; Chiffchaff - 2 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 - Immature over high.
  • Five Weirs Walk: Little Egret - 1 - at 08:12. Seen again later at 09:59 and then again at 11.11 chasing away a Grey Heron.
  • Low Common: Black-headed Gull - 100+ - Resting, some following tractor ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 ; Herring Gull - 1 - Juv
  • Malin Bridge: Pink-footed Goose - c42 - over low W calling at 19:10
  • Morley Pond: Canada Goose - 26
  • Norwood Allotments: Pink-footed Goose - 25 - over west about 09:00 ; Siskin - 4 - over south ; Kestrel - 1 - infrequent visitor here, sparring for about 5 mins with sparrowhawk
  • Orgreave Lakes: Grey Partridge - 11
  • R Don, Effingham St: CASPIAN GULL - 1 - 1st winter this morning, coming to bread
  • Ranmoor: Pink-footed Goose - c60 - Flying SE at 18:35
  • Ravenfield Church: Tawny Owl - 1 - Calling loudly from old railway embankment @ 5:30AM.
  • Redmires conduit: Crossbill - 5
  • Rotherham Centre: Goose sp - approx 30 - viewed from templeborough flying in long line over town centre
