R Derwent, Froggatt: Dipper - 2 - including 1 juvenile ; Mandarin - 12+ - including juveniles ; Blackcap - 1

R Don, Effingham St: Yellow-legged Gull - 2 - 3cy and a nice fresh juvenile on the weir ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - c50 - inc Norwegian colour ringed 2cy bird also seen here in Sept 2022

R Sheaf, Broadfield Road: Mandarin - 9 ; Mallard - 5 ; Moorhen - 1

Ramsley Moor: Whinchat - 6+ - at least one, probably two family parties in bracken, at least 4 juvs. ; Cuckoo - 1 - mobile juv, calling and followed by Meadow Pipit host. ; Stonechat - 2 - pair

Rawmarsh: Kestrel - 1 - f/juv flew around tower of St Mary's Church calling, before settling.

Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Greenfinch - 1 - singing

Redmires conduit: 324 - 1 - teneral Southern Hawker ; Oystercatcher - 2 - 2 snoozing in horse fields with lapwing juvenile close by ; Red Grouse - 2 - very distant, either 2 mature juveniles, 2 females or one of each.

Rocher Bog: Jay - 5 - 5 adults foraging in/around bog on edge of Rocher Wood (possibly feeding on emerging froglets)

Roundwood Golf course: Chiffchaff - 1 - singing

Silverwood Lagoon: BITTERN - 1 - flew across lagoon at 08:50

Orgreave Lakes: Tufted Duck - 51 - Including a female on the large lake with 13 Chicks and a Female on the small lake with 5 Chicks ; Little Egret - 6 ; Common Sandpiper - 2 ; Little Ringed Plover - 2 - Adults ; Lapwing - 18 ; Oystercatcher - 5 - 2 adults and 3 imms ; Whitethroat - 2 + - adults feeding a fledged Juv ; Carrion Crow - 8 - including 2 juvs being feed by adult's. ; Pied Wagtail - 6 - including 2 pairs feeding 3 fledged juvs ; Kestrel - 2 - carrying food ; Little Grebe - 5 - 2 adults and 3 large juv's on the small lake.
