Orgreave Lakes: Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Swift - 20+ ; 324 - 8 - Common Blue Damselflies ; Mandarin - 1 - Feeding on river.

Redmires Top Res: Yellow-legged Gull - 3 - 2 adults and a second summer

RVCP, Meadowgate Lake: Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Little Egret - 1

Thrybergh CP: Little Egret - 2 - 2 over West Bay flew south 09:30 ; Mandarin - 1 - fem ; Lapwing - 25 ; Oystercatcher - 1 ; Swift - 60+ ; Swallow - 3 ; House Martin - 2 ; Chiffchaff - 4 ; Willow Warbler - 3 ; Reed Warbler - 5 ; Yellow Wagtail - 4 - Family party ; Pied Wagtail - 3 ; Grey Wagtail - 2 ; 319 - 2 ; Red Kite - 1 - juv/1cy settled in trees in S arm, early p.m.

Treeton Dyke: Great Crested Grebe - 5+ - pair with 2 well-grown juvs S end, displaying pair middle of res and one at N end ; Mute Swan - 4+ - pair with 4 well-grown cygnets at S end and pair at N end ; Tufted Duck - 1 - eclipse male ; Coot - 20+ - including several fledged juvs ; Black-headed Gull - 80 - feeding overhead on flying ants ; 324 - 8 - Small Red-eyed Damselflies, including ovipositing pairs

Treeton Tip: Linnet - 1 - female accidentally flushed from suspected nest site ; Whitethroat - 1 - agitated bird, presumably near nest ; Reed Warbler - 1 - singing

Underbank Res: Little Ringed Plover - 1 ; Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Treecreeper - 4 - family group incl juvs ; Moorhen - 3 - Adult pair and fresh juv

Upper Midhope: Swallow - 96 - on wires incl numerous juvs

Aldwarke Lane: Black-headed Gull - c20 - foraging on verge near food takeaways

Aldwarke; Liberty Steels: Peregrine - 1 - on chimney ; Song Thrush - 1 - singing ; Raven - 1 - calling

Bowden Housteads Wood: Meadow Pipit - 2 - South at 07.20.

Burncross, High Green: Swift - c19 - Max counted, possibly more, over nest site 21.00. Hopefully a sign of breeding success. ; House Martin - 1+ - Heard 21.15, sadly my first of year here.

Foxhill, Shaw Hill: Swallow - 6 - Breeding successful at farm again ; Swift - 16 - Over low ; House Martin - 2

Killamarsh: Pied Flycatcher - 1 - Very briefly in observer's garden. First ever sighting of this species in garden.

Moscar: Red Kite - 2 - Both circling near A57/Mortimer Rd

Norwood Allotments: Red Kite - 3 - Over west together at 16:10. ; Hobby - 1 - over at 16:25. ; Swift - 50+ - Great to see a swirling mass of swifts. Possibly brought together in response to the hobby seen later.

Parkgate; *Banana* plantation: Chiffchaff - 1 - calling ; Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - adult, calling from scrub (surprise record, none here previously this year)

Ramsley Res: Greenfinch - 1+ - a Male with 2 fledged juvs ; Mallard - 1+ - a female with 5 young
