• Horbury Common: Lesser Redpoll - 3 - including a pair courtship feeding ; Brambling - 2 - 1 singing ; Skylark - 4 - 2-3 singing ; Stock Dove - 2 - presumed pair; display flight and song ; Whitethroat - 1 - singing
• Leash Fen: Willow Warbler - 1 ; Skylark - 1 ; Song Thrush - 1
• Limb Valley: Swallow - 5 - Over horse fields at top of Valley;
• Manor Fields Park: Reed Bunting - 1 - female in reedbed at 6am ; Water Rail - 1 - Calling from reedbed at 06:30. ; Willow Warbler - 2 ; Chiffchaff - 3 ; Blackcap - 6 - 4 singing male +2 female. ; Whitethroat - 2 - males back on site 07:00. ; Fieldfare - 7 - flew west calling at 06:15 ; Linnet - 12 ; Song Thrush - 4+ - at least 2 pair

• Oaking Clough Plantation: 324 - 2 - Common Lizard. one male and one female seen ; Wheatear - 3+ - on moors near plantation ; Willow Warbler - 1 ; Goldfinch - 1+
• Orgreave Lakes: Common Sandpiper - 6 ; Yellow Wagtail - 4 - 3+1 all north ; Wigeon - 3 ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - White on island ; Ringed Plover - 1 ; Wheatear - 3 - 2 males
• Parson*s Piece: Great Tit - 1 ; Wren - 1 ; Chaffinch - 4 ; Willow Warbler - 1 ; House Sparrow - 1+ ; Robin - 1 ; Swallow - 1
• R Sheaf, Heeley: Sand Martin - 6+ - feeding over the river between Havelock Bridge and Heeley Bridge

• Rotherham Centre: Sand Martin - 10+ - Chantry Bridge, seen entering drainage holes beneath pub. 11.00 ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Moorhen - 1 ; Greenfinch - 1 - Calling ; Goldfinch - 1 - Singing top of Yorkshire Bank.
• Round Hill: Meadow Pipit - 2+ ; Stonechat - 2 ; Red Grouse - 3+ ; Skylark - 2+ ; Curlew - c4 ; Mallard - 2 - 2 females on water in conduit, one with 13 recently fledged ducklings ; Swallow - 2 - over the pool at the end of the conduit ; Kestrel - 1 ; Canada Goose - 1 - pair of the pool at the end of the conduit, female brooding eggs while male on guard duty ; 324 - 2 - peacock butterflies
• Silverwood Lagoon: Whitethroat - 4 - singing ; Reed Warbler - 1 - first singing bird a few days earlier than usual this year ; Blackcap - 10 - singing ; Chiffchaff - 6 - singing ; Willow Warbler - 12 - singing ; Oystercatcher - 1 - west at 09.20
• Stanage Edge: Ring Ouzel - 2+ - At north end; one pair feeding together, later 4 more moving north
• Stone Moor/stocksbridge: Swallow - 1 - flying round buildings at bottom of long lane ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - being harrased by small birds ; Lapwing - 7 7+3 - seven adults Plus at least 3 chicks ; Curlew - 2 ; Willow Warbler - 04-Jun - all singing in various small trees on moor ; 321 - 1 ; Skylark - 04-May - singing ; Red Grouse - 1 ; Linnet - 5 ; Greenfinch - 2 ; Tree Pipit - 1 - flying to and from silver birch ; Meadow Pipit - 6+ ; Coal Tit - 1
