Padley Gorge: Redstart - 3 - male ; Pied Flycatcher - 2 - male ; Tree Pipit - 1 ; Brambling - c30 - Noisy calling flock in the tops of Birch trees before flying off east. ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 ; Song Thrush - 2 ; Willow Warbler - 3 ; Nuthatch - 6

R Don, Stevenson Rd: Kingfisher - 1 - male ; Blackcap - 2 - singing ; Willow Warbler - 1 - singing. Railside scrub and trees at Sandersons Weir currently being decimated by Network Rail.

Redmires conduit: Golden Plover - 2 - male and female near path at far end

Rother Valley CP: Arctic Tern - 2 - flew north at 09:20 ; Arctic Tern - 2 - North ; Common Sandpiper - 1 - Main Lake

Stanage Edge, below: Hobby - 1 - very fast NW along bottom of edge

Wadsley Common: Lesser Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - In small wood next to Loxley House.

Bingham Park: Grey Wagtail - 3 ; Dipper - 2 - together ; Nuthatch - 1

Brick Houses: Brambling - 1 - singing in garden Parkers Lane

Brightside: Willow Warbler - 1 - singing, President Park

Ecclesfield: Sparrowhawk - 1 - picked up freshly dead with a broken neck,inside the glass bus-shelter opposite the co-op on High Street,presumably chasing prey.

Endcliffe Park: Canada Goose - 2 - M&F on lower pond ; Mandarin - 9 - M&F ; Grey Wagtail - 2 ; Long-tailed Tit - 2

Greystones garden: Brambling - 2 ; Bullfinch - 2 - M&F

Handsworth: Blue Tit - 1 - Seen entering hole in stone wall, cemetery 14.00.

Manor Fields Park: Common Buzzard - 2 - 1 north at 16:12 & 2nd bird west 17:08. ; Reed Bunting - 1 - male in reedbed calling 16:20 ; Blackcap - 4 - Min 4 males singing. ; Willow Warbler - 1 - singing near pond ; Chiffchaff - 3 ; Moorhen - 5 - 2 adult 3 chick ; Mallard - 12 - 6 pairs on pond 16:15-17:30

Orgreave Lakes: Spotted Redshank - 1 - Partial summer-plumaged bird on northern shore of Big Lake then Small Lake from 6:30am ; Spotted Redshank - 1 - Second photo ; Wheatear - 1 - Imm male still by footbridge ; Wheatear - 3 - 2 cu males, female along northern end of large lake ; Wigeon - 1 - male ; Goosander - 6 - redheads ; Little Egret - 1 - small lake briefly 13.55 then flew south ; Herring Gull - 3 - 2 adults, 1 2cy ; Pied Wagtail - 2 - WHITE WAGTAIL; male and female commuting between island and causeway early afternoon ; Yellow Wagtail - 1 - on island ; Wheatear - 3 ; Yellow Wagtail - 2 - small lake ; Dunlin - 1 - sum plum adult ; Ringed Plover - 4 ; Wigeon - 4 ; Canada Goose - 10+ - At least 2 birds incubating on Island, with several unattended eggs that had rolled down the hill.
