Onesmoor bottom: Red-legged Partridge - 2 - pair crossing the road .

Overstones Farm: Snipe - 05-Jun - Very active calling, feeding & on walls ; Curlew - 1 - Feeding ; Lapwing - 4+ - Staying around presumed nest-sites ; Cuckoo - 1 - Heard calling

Padley Gorge: Pied Flycatcher - 5 - 4 males 1 female. Male being chased by blue tits near nest box ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2 - Pair mating ; Mandarin - 2 - Pair looking for nest holes in trees

Padley Wood: Redstart - 4 ; 324 - 2 - Red Deer

Ravensdale: Raven - 1 heard

Redmires conduit: Wheatear - 2 - 2 males at small reservoir. 2 females at shooting butts behind Stanage Edge

Redmires Middle Res: Kestrel - 1 - in plantation opposite roadside feeders

Redmires Top Res: Common Sandpiper - 2 - feeding and calling from highest part of rocky "shore" ; 319 - 4 - soaring over res. and nearby moors in a group ; 324 - 5+ - Common Toads, inc. one mating pair in ditch to S of Res. plus many (and frogs) squashed on Redmires Road over the past few weeks!

Rocher head: Golden Plover - C150

Rocher Wood: Redstart - 4 - At least 4 singing males ; Blue Tit - 6 - 3 pairs carrying nest material to nest boxes ; Linnet - 18 - feeding in field .

Rud Hill: Fieldfare - c60 - in fields opp Fulwood Head Fm. Initially about 30 birds, some on ground, some perched in trees or on wall. Then another 30ish joined them. After a few minutes they all flew off east together.

Scholes Coppice: Tawny Owl - 1 - Calling @ 10:50am.

Stocksbridge: Willow Tit - 1 - foraging in young trees near Stocksbridge Bypass (Steel Valley Walk)
