Parkgate; *Banana* plantation: Blackcap - 8+ - 2 singing + 6+ juvs ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Whitethroat - 2 - juvs ; Linnet - 9 - W/NW in ones & twos ; Sand Martin - 10+ - feeding around treetops & over adjacent golf course ; Willow Warbler - 1 ; Swallow - 1 ; House Martin - 3 ; Crossbill - 2 - low to NW, calling constantly @ 0744hrs ; Siskin - 05-Jun - 2-3 over, heard only; 3 SW ; Blackbird - numerous - gorging on ripe cherries ; Song Thrush - 1 - with Blackbirds ; Skylark - 1 - over very high, singing

Rawmarsh: Sparrowhawk - 1 - E, calling @ 1415hrs ; Common Buzzard - 1 - circling over @ 1500hrs; drifted off E

Rocher Head Farm: Redstart - 2 - Adult male with recently-fledged juvenile. ; Stonechat - 4 - Juveniles foraging near Sick Brook.

Roundwood Golf course: Kestrel - 1 - male ; Goldcrest - 1 - singing ; Coal Tit - 1 ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1+ - calling ; Raven - 3 - over together from W/SW @ 0722hrs & settled on Liberty site. All sat on water-tower, Roundwood rolling-mills, later.

Wharncliffe Heath NR: Woodcock - 3 - roding

Abbey Brook: 337 - 1 - dropped over into Upper Derwent Valley, south side Abbey Brook near Lost Lad at c10:20. Again this afternoon between Abbey Brook and Lost Lad, viewed distantly from Bradfield. Again at east end of Abbey Brook on cliff in Howden Gully at 17.53
