Five Weirs Walk: Moorhen - 4 - One on nest with 3 eggs in middle of river near footbridge ; Grey Wagtail - 4 ; Blackcap - 1 - Singing ; Wren - 2 - Singing ; Greenfinch - 1 - singing ; Blackbird - 6 ; Mallard - 7 ; Red-legged Partridge - 1 - Walking ahead of observer on riverside path east of East Coast Road, carried on walking and crossed (still walking!) Stevenson Road before carrying on down Hecla Drive presumably heading for Attercliffe Cemetery before heading into works yard of Outokumpu ASR Rod Mill

Fulwood garden: Starling - 30 - Party of adults landed on lawn to feed; many carrying food off to nearby nests. ; Mallard - 2 - Pair on lawn under feeders, with female briefly perched on top of feeder

Greenland: Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - Singing off Tinsley Park Road 07.10

Leash Fen: Whimbrel - 1 - over WSW calling at 06.38. Given the flight direction, possibly the bird from Big Moor on 27/04 (last seen heading towards Leash Fen) lingering in the area

Morley Pond: Great Crested Grebe - 1 ; Grey Heron - 1 ; Mute Swan - 1 ; Greylag Goose - 3 ; Moorhen - 1 ; Coot - 1+ ; Mallard - 10+ ; Tufted Duck - 17 ; Swallow - c30 ; House Martin - c10 - feeding low over water,in rain with SL and possibly 1 SM? No activity @ Dog Kennel from SM.
