  • Porter Brook: Goldcrest - 1 ; Nuthatch - 1 ; Dipper - 1 ; Wren - 2 - By side of stream ; Long-tailed Tit - 1
  • R Don, Deepcar: Dipper - 2 - Pair and male singing on River Don at Tin Mill.
  • R Sheaf Saxon/Broadfield Rd: Goldcrest - 2 ; Grey Wagtail - 2 ; Mandarin - 5 - 3M+2F first of the year here
  • Rivelin Filters: Tufted Duck - 2 - pair. My only sighting here Jan-Mar
  • Roundwood Golf course: Song Thrush - 1 - singing ; Coal Tit - 1 - singing ; Siskin - 6 - inc males chasing & bursts of song ; Common Buzzard - 1 - over @ 0825hrs
  • Silverwood Lagoon: Pochard - 5 - 4 males ; Tufted Duck - 7 ; Little Grebe - 6 ; Coot - 12 ; Moorhen - 4 ; Mute Swan - 2 - resident pair ; Black-headed Gull - c.110 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 2 - adults ; Rook - 3 - south ; Siskin - 2 ; Song Thrush - 2 - singing ; Reed Bunting - 4 - singing ; Linnet - 10 - 1 singing ; Skylark - 3 - singing ; Jay - 2 ; Long-tailed Tit - c.15 ; Great Tit - 2 - singing ; Kestrel - 1 ; Common Buzzard - 1

  • Dore back garden: Lesser Redpoll - 3 - at feeders ; Siskin - 3 ; Greenfinch - 3 ; Bullfinch - 2 - pr
  • Gleadless: 319 - 1
  • Gleadless Valley LNR: Chiffchaff - 3
  • Greystones garden: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Flew through observer's garden ; 319 - 2 - Drifted together over, mobbed by 2 crows
  • Hillsborough Park: Nuthatch - 2 - Calling by the library ; Mistle Thrush - 1 - singing in trees by library ; Redwing - 5 ; Song Thrush - 1
  • Holbrook Marsh: Snipe - 2 ; Jack Snipe - 1
  • Masborough Junction: Woodcock - 1
  • Millhouses Lane garden: Siskin - 2 - a pair visiting the sunflower hearts feeder
  • Moss Valley, upper: 319 - 5 in total - 2, 2, 1 ; Skylark - 5
  • Moss Valley, upper - Sicklebrook Lane: Yellowhammer - 4
  • Norfolk Park garden: Starling - 3+ - One singing from nearby tree am; first I've heard this in the four years I've lived here. ; Feral Pigeon - 3 - on garden feeders ; Woodpigeon - 3
