Longshaw: Brambling - c100 - Smaller flocks all morning in vicinity of lodge and car park. Walkley: Waxwing - 40 - c40 feeding on a rosebush on the edge of the disused playing field, Whitehouse Lane.

Smeltings Farm Ringinglow: Sparrowhawk - 1 - found in a stable after possibly roosting overnight in very cold conditions. After trying to guide the bird out via doors and windows it settled on a low stable door, was picked up and released to fly off unharmed.
