Derwent Moor: Ring Ouzel - pair - male high on rocks then flew to lower level, joining female in rapid flight

Dukes Road: Golden Plover - 10+ - at least 5 territorial pairs in Flint Hill/ Hobson Moss/ Brusten Croft area, including pair with 3 chicks. ; Hobby - 2 - hawking insects over Hobson Moss/ New Cross on and off in afternoon.

Fulwood: Whitethroat - 0 - previously occupied site on Canterbury Crescent lost to housing development; no birds present this spring

Fulwood garden: Kestrel - 2 - over SE together; unusual here ; Blue Tit - 2+ - family party ; Siskin - 2+ - pair and fledged juv at feeders ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Whitethroat - 1 - singing from scrub nearby

Grainfoot Clough: Siskin - 2 - feeding on edge of woodland close to footpath

Ladybower Res, North arm: Crossbill - 4 - Family party in tops of conifers on moorland edge. Sometimes removing entire cones to feed. ; Lapwing - 1
