Wadsley Common: 327 - c20 - Mobile flock over south side of common. ; Brambling - 4

Wharncliffe Chase: Red-legged Partridge - 4 - around Brownlow Rocher. Possibly released birds at this site.

Wharncliffe Wood: Brambling - 1 - heard by the Wheata Wood car park

Win Hill: Crossbill - 14 - Flying across clearing towards Win Hill Plantation from pine forest closer to Ladybower Res.

Attercliffe: Peregrine - 1 - probable male on Bernard Rd incinerator

Barrow Hill: 319 - 2 - circling low overhead at the Roundhouse Museum ; Robin - 1 - perched on one of the outdoor locomotives at the museum

Firsby Res: Mallard - 5 ; 320 - 8 - 7 main Res, 1 on small. ; Cormorant - 1 - Fishing ; Black-headed Gull - 15 ; Grey Heron - 3 ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; 319 - 1 - Low, flushing winter thrushes. ; Kestrel - 1 ; Tawny Owl - 1 ; Jay - 2 ; Fieldfare - 20+ ; Redwing - 60+ - In two flocks. ; Starling - 40+ ; Siskin - 15 - Feeding in tree tops ; Goldfinch - 26 ; Goldcrest - 2 ; Herring Gull - 1 - Immature over. ; Woodpigeon - 50+ - Spooked by shooting party.
