  • Harthill Res: Mallard - 15 ; Willow Tit - 2 ; Coot - 16 ; Moorhen - 26 ; Tufted Duck - 9 ; Great Crested Grebe - 3 ; Kingfisher - 2 ; Mute Swan - 2
  • Killamarsh: Barn Owl - 1 - Fields near Trans-Pennine Trail
  • Kimberworth: Goldfinch - 10 - 10 goldfinches - adults and juveniles - feeding on sunflower hearts. This is the most seen at the same time in the garden.
  • Longshaw: Nuthatch - 1 ; Treecreeper - 2 ; Long-tailed Tit - 1
  • Manor Fields Park: Ring-necked Parakeet - 1 - Feeding well on Hawthorn berries.
  • Middleton Moor: Red-legged Partridge - 4 ; 320 - 36
  • Orgreave Lakes: COMMON (Mealy) REDPOLL - 1 - Still among Lesser Redpolls
  • Parkgate; Infirmary Road: Mistle Thrush - 2 - on roof
  • Pebley Pond: GREAT WHITE EGRET - 1 - Flushed by dog walker and flew towards Harthill. ; Wigeon - 5 ; Great Crested Grebe - 5 ; Little Grebe - 2 ; Common Sandpiper - 1 - Prob common sand poor views
  • R Don, Aldwarke: Cormorant - 5 - on pylon ; Jay - 1 ; Moorhen - 1 ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - over ; Mallard - 4 ; Herring Gull - 6 - SW
  • Rawmarsh: Sparrowhawk - 1 - E @ 1315hrs
  • Redmires Middle Res: Golden Plover - 52 - resting on S shoreline; everything flushed by dog walkers on the shoreline ; Lapwing - 126 ; Greylag Goose - 39 - 28 and 11 flying around; 11 came into roost on res ; Common Gull - 4 - on S shoreline ; Black-headed Gull - 110 ; Mallard - 62 ; Fieldfare - 120 - in several parties W/SW to roost ; Redwing - 40 - W to roost
  • Redmires Res: Greylag Goose - 39 - in fields ; Fieldfare - 10 - grounded in plantations ; Redwing - 25 - c. grounded in plantations ; Blackbird - 10 - grounded in plantations - inc 3 in Fairthorn Clough ; Goldcrest - 10 - c. mostly around Top Res ; Yellowhammer - 1 - juv kicked up from grass bank by Middle Res - presumed migrant as rare here these days
