Orgreave Lakes: Sanderling - 1 ; Arctic Tern - 2 - Singles north early morning. ; Turnstone - 6 - 1 by main lake early morning & another 5 in at 0710 ; Black Tern - 2 ; TEMMINCK'S STINT - 1 - Still present round the small lake at 9am. ; Dunlin - 15 - At least 15 ; Ringed Plover - 6 - At least 6 present ; Greenshank - 1 - On the causeway at 0845 then north ; Little Egret - 1 - North east at 0915. ; TEMMINCK'S STINT - 1 ; Turnstone - 5 ; TEMMINCK'S STINT - 1 ; Sedge Warbler - 1 - singing in phragmites ; TEMMINCK'S STINT - 1 - still present 14.36 south-west corner of small lake and then south side of island ; TEMMINCK'S STINT - 1 - still present 15.41 small lake. Has also been at SW corner of large lake ; Whinchat - 1 - Male ; Wheatear - 1 - Male ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - White wagtail ; Yellow Wagtail - 4 - 1 single on Big lake and three mobile on small lake at 0930 ; Redshank - 4 ; House Martin - 1 ; Swift - 46 ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - feeding single fledged juvenile ; TEMMINCK'S STINT - 1 ; TEMMINCK'S STINT - 1 ; TEMMINCK'S STINT - 1 ; Dunlin - 16+ ; Sanderling - 1 ; Wheatear - 4 - Two male Greenland race leucorhoa, 1 m + 1 f nominate race ; Swift - 15+ ; Swallow - 60+ ; Sand Martin - 48 + ; House Martin - 10+ ; Grey Partridge - 1

R Don, Norfolk Bridge: Swift - c30 - low over river in poor weather

templeborough: Swift - 12+ - feeding over centenary riverside area ; House Martin - 1 - with swifts

Whiteley Woods: Dipper - 2 - Adult continually visiting nest just above Hangingwater Rd + juvenile looked to have left nest this morning nearby. ; Great Tit - 1+ - Frequently taking food to nest

Bingham Park: Dipper - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 1

Catcliffe Flash: Gadwall - 6+ ; Tufted Duck - 1 - male ; Great Crested Grebe - 2 - obvious pair but no signs of breeding ; Coot - 12+ ; Black-headed Gull - 1+ ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 - north ; Sand Martin - 1 ; Blue Tit - 2 - a pair taking food to nest by lay-by

Ecclesfield: Ring-necked Parakeet - 1 - Cross Hill, female at top of pine tree,calling ; Cormorant - 1 - Cross Hill, flew NE.

R Don, Rotherham Centre: Grey Heron - 1 - adult ; Sand Martin - c25 - feeding low over river in light rain

Silverwood Lagoon: Whinchat - 1 - on fence about halfway along main approach track at 07.55 ; Grasshopper Warbler - 1 - reeling

Thrybergh CP: Oystercatcher - 1 ; Common Sandpiper - 2 ; Black Tern - 4 ; Common Tern - 1 ; Arctic Tern - 1 - flew north a t c09:00

Whiteley Woods: Dipper - 2 - Seen taking food to nest & food passed to mate or offspring ; Great Tit - 1 - repeatedly taking food to probable nest site ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Dipper - 1 - Juvenile with silver ring on right leg seen just above Hangingwater Rd

Attercliffe: Herring Gull - 100+ - still good numbers around, mainly imms ; Great Black-backed Gull - 8 - still around ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 13 - mainly adults

Barbrook Plantation: Pied Flycatcher - 3 ; Spotted Flycatcher - 1 ; Redstart - 1 ; Tree Pipit - 3 ; Willow Warbler - 6 ; Mistle Thrush - 1 ; Song Thrush - 2 ; Stonechat - 2 ; Chaffinch - 8 ; Curlew - 1 - Overhead distress call ; Tree Pipit - 1 ; Treecreeper - 1

Bassingthorpe Spring: Woodpigeon - 1+ - sing ; Wren - 1+ - sing ; Robin - 1+ - sing ; Blackbird - 2 - sing ; Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - singing from scrub. ; Chiffchaff - 1+ - sing ; Blackcap - 1 - sing ; Whitethroat - 1 - Displaying from hedge S of wood. ; Yellowhammer - 2 - 1 singing from hedge near mobile mast.

Big Moor: 324 - c.70 - Red Deer - c. 70

Brownhills Lane: Greylag Goose - 25 - feeding and resting in roadside field

Canklow Woods: Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - 1 singing

Dore: Robin - 1 - adult feeding recently fledged juv in observer’s garden.
