Barlow Common: 319 - 1 ; Swallow - 4+ ; Whitethroat - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 1 ; Kestrel - 1 ; Linnet - 4+ ; Yellowhammer - 1 ; Pied Wagtail - 1 ; Goldfinch - 1

Hangingwater allotments: Song Thrush - 2+ - 1 fledgling seen, another heard calling. Male singing

Hillsborough Park: Coot - 1+ - Including 3 broods ; Mute Swan - 8 - Including 2 immatures and brood of 4 ; Greylag Goose - 1 - plus largely white presumed hybrid ; Grey Heron - 2 - juveniles ; Mute Swan - 8 - Additional: 3 immatures, only one adult from breeding pair seen (other possibly out of view on one of islands).

Malin Bridge: Tawny Owl - 1 - vocal youngster in garden Leylandii after dark, only second sight record here.

R Don, Attercliffe: Herring Gull - c40 - at least one adult ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - c20 - inc green colour ringed bird ; Great Black-backed Gull - 2 - still 2x2cy birds around

R Don, Rotherham Centre; weir: Grey Heron - 1 - adult @ 0805hrs ; Grey Wagtail - 1+ - male feeding 2 fledged but dependent juvs @ 1335hrs

R Don, Stevenson Rd: Yellow-legged Gull - 1 - 3cy ; Kingfisher - 1

Greenhill: Blackcap - 1 - Male on feeder., Westwick Crescent

Linacre Res: Tufted Duck - 2+ - a pair with a small duckling ; Wren - 1+ - an adult with 5+ fledged young ; Stock Dove - 1 - singing

R Don, Newhall Rd: Sand Martin - c20 - Two nests with almost fledged juvs in drainage pipes just upstream of bridge, and birds visiting a further 2 pipes so presumed 4 active nests.

R Don, Stevenson Rd: Moorhen - 2 - pair with 4 small chicks ; Canada Goose - 17 - inc two family parties

R Rother, Whiston Meadows: Dipper - 1 - a juv on R Rother as it passes under the M1 near end of Parkway.
