Greystones: Swift - 1 - still present over Onslow Road (with young still calling in nest).

Hurlfield: Common Buzzard - 4 - Circling over observers house and calling at 12:05. ; Sparrowhawk - 2 ; Swift - 3 - SW together.

Manor Fields Park: Blackcap - 3 - 2 males. ; Chiffchaff - 5 - calling from around site 16:15-17:10 ; Swift - 3 - SSW over site. ; Spotted Flycatcher - 1 - In central area flycatching from large privet bush at 17:00.

Orgreave Lakes: Wheatear - 1 - Northern shore of main lake mid morning ; Yellow Wagtail - 4 ; Peregrine - 1 ; Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Peregrine - 1 - Imm female again ; Yellow Wagtail - 2 - Adult and juv on east shore ; Swift - 20 ; Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Black-headed Gull - c.500

Parkwood Springs: Swift - 40+ - moving in 3 groups south during light rain 14:35 - 15;10.

Stoney Middleton: Jay - 2 ; 319 - 4 - Pair continually landing in the same tree appeared to be driving other pair away. ; Swallow - 6

Walkley Bank: Swift - 8+ - at least eight birds over Bell Hagg Road at dusk, including a screaming party of six. ; Swift - 3

Whirlow Hall Farm: 324 - 1 - Wall Brown butterfly. Used to be common here but I've not seen one here for many years. Also 2 Peacocks and a pristine Red Admiral.

Bernard Road Incinerator: Starling - 80-100 - flock circling and briefly landing

Cowell Flat: Swift - 2 - Flying south into strong winds

Derwent Edge: Wheatear - 3 - Party of 3 near Lost Lad

Ewden Height: Meadow Pipit - 50+ - Large group in overgrown field. ; Kestrel - 1 ; Goldfinch - 2 ; Linnet - 1+ ; Goldcrest - 4 - Family party ; Swallow - 10+ - Several juvs ; Bullfinch - 1 ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - North ; Tree Pipit - 5+ - Group of 3 seen moving south, 1+ heard moving south, 1+ with MP group in overgrown field. ; Red Grouse - 70+ ; Curlew - 2

High Dale: Raven - 12+ - Presumed mainly juveniles; Jackdaws & a Buzzard too.

Langsett Res: Lesser Black-backed Gull - 360+ - roosted ; Yellow-legged Gull - 1 - roosted ; Herring Gull - 1 - juv roosted

Millhouses: Bullfinch - 4 - Pair and two recently fledged juvs in a Marriott Road garden. ; Swift - 11 - in ones and twos moving mainly S/SW during about 1 hour mid morning

Monsal Dale: Raven - 1 - Heard ; Tawny Owl - 1 ; Nuthatch - 2 individuals - Heard
