  • Dog Kennel Pond: Great Crested Grebe - 2 ; Cormorant - 3 ; Mallard - 20+ ; Moorhen - 4 ; Coot - 1 ; Kestrel - 1 - Male huting along N side of lake. ; Black-headed Gull - 50+ ; Grey Wagtail - 1
  • Langsett: Redwing - 25 - with Fieldfare ; Fieldfare - 25 ; Red Grouse - 8
  • Langsett Res: Treecreeper - 2 - In plantations adjacent to res. ; Red Grouse - 5+
  • Low Common: Redwing - 60+ - With lesser numbers of Fieldfare moving between copse and Rockingham Wood.
  • Mam Tor: SNOW BUNTING - 1 - still present this morning, just E of trig point
  • Mickleden Beck: Raven - 4 - 2 pairs calling and occasional plunging/diving display.
  • Midhope Res: Goldeneye - 2 ; Fieldfare - c30 - mobile flock, with starlings ; Mistle Thrush - c5 - in neighbouring fields ; 319 - 1 - flying over plantation ; Kestrel - 1 - hunting in adjacent fields ; Pheasant - c5 - in nearby fields ; Coal Tit - 2+ ; Blue Tit - 2+ ; Mallard - c6 ; 320 - c8 ; Jackdaw - c20 - resident flock in nearby fields ; Woodpigeon - c6

  • Broomhead/Rushy wood: Willow Tit - 01-Feb - foraging in undergroth near feeders ; Coal Tit - 15/20 - on and around feeders ; Great Tit - 4 ; Blue Tit - 6 ; Robin - 4 ; Siskin - 7 - small flock in top of conifers ; Jay - 1 ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2 - male and female on fat blocks ; Chaffinch - 02-Mar ; Woodpigeon - 4 ; Pheasant - 2 - 2 females feeding on corn ; Wren - 2 ; Treecreeper - 1 - feeding on fat block ; Nuthatch - 3 - feeding on peanuts
