Barlow Common: Raven - 4 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Kestrel - 1 ; Skylark - 12+ - still in winter flock, although one or two made brief attempts at a display song ; Nuthatch - 2 ; Pied Wagtail - 2 ; Goldfinch - 2

Brightside: Ring-necked Parakeet - 20+ - Roosting in a tree opposite Brightside Way.

Catcliffe Flash: Mute Swan - 3 - ad pr + 1 imm ; Shoveler - 3 - 2m, 1f ; Gadwall - 15 ; 320 - 5+ ; Pochard - 7 ; Tufted Duck - 11 ; Black-headed Gull - 36+ - 36-40 ; Moorhen - 1+ ; Coot - 6

Derwent Dam: Peregrine - 1 - 1 Bird on east Tower of Derwent Dam ; Peregrine - 1 - I bird also on west tower of Derwent Dam. Possibly scared off by illegal drone flying

Ecclesfield: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Cross Hill, male perched in tree looking for supper

Green Moor: Blackcap - 1 - Male feeding on apples ; House Sparrow - 20+ ; Tree Sparrow - 4 ; Yellowhammer - 2 ; Greenfinch - 4

Killamarsh: Goosander - 2 - Flying SW, male and female ; Greenfinch - 1 - Heard singing

Longshaw: Willow Tit - 1 ; Willow Tit - 1 - 2nd photo ; Nuthatch - 3 ; Brambling - 6+ - M&F at Discovery Centre, along with Willow Tit ; Tufted Duck - 1 - Female on pond

Mayfield Valley: Raven - 1 - Low W calling over David Lane at 16:35

Middleton Moor: Shelduck - 2 ; 320 - 11 ; Lapwing - 14 ; Common Gull - 110 - plus many still feeding in surrounding pasture ; Starling - 50000+

Norfolk Park: Pink-footed Goose - c200 - flew over west at 15:55

Pebley Pond: Little Egret - 1 - Flew round on two occasions and left each time towards Harthill. ; Mute Swan - 2 ; Great Crested Grebe - 7 ; Cormorant - c8 ; Tufted Duck - 4 - All Male ; Mallard - c14 ; Grey Heron - 2 ; Coot - c8 ; Pheasant - 1

Rotherham Centre; Chantry Bridge: Goldfinch - c30 - noisy flock in treetop; flew off towards All Saints' roost site @ 1610hrs
