  • Thrybergh CP: Greenfinch - 7 - At bird hide feeding station ; Reed Bunting - 5 ; Yellowhammer - 1 - Female. ; Tree Sparrow - 1 ; Chaffinch - 12 ; Bullfinch - 3 ; Dunnock - 7 ; 319 - 1 ; Kestrel - 1 ; Blue Tit - 5 ; Great Tit - 4 ; Pied Wagtail - 12 - Flock on field adjacent to reservoir, and Thrybergh Lane ; Skylark - 04-May - Singing ; Oystercatcher - 1 - At edge of water then going on to waterlogged field near cemetery.

  • Bingham Park: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - Female in woods ; Goldcrest - 1 - in woods
  • Birleyhay: 319 - 1 - Over wood near Birleyhay
  • Birleyhay Dam: 321 - 4 - Flew off from top end of Dam
  • Bramley: Song Thrush - 1 - Singing daily since Mid Feb.
  • Brownhills Lane: Pink-footed Goose - 1 - one still with the Greylag Geese. ; Curlew - 32 - in roadside fields at 16:30 ; Rook - 40 - feeding in roadside fields
  • Chatsworth Park: Mandarin - 6 - 3 pairs downstream of bridge ; Cormorant - 2 - Adult and immature flying north ; Little Grebe - 1 ; Chaffinch - 15 - Feeding under beeches on path from Edensor ; Brambling - 1 - Male feeding with chaffinch flock
  • Dale Dyke: Curlew - 9 - flew low E
  • Dronfield: Kestrel - 2 - Over fields towards Holmesfield
  • Ecclesall Woods: 319 - 1 ; Nuthatch - 03-Apr ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 ; Jay - 1 ; Long-tailed Tit - 3+
  • Firsby Res: Coot - 1 ; Moorhen - 1 ; Mallard - 2 - Pair main Res. ; Grey Heron - 1
  • Hammond*s Field: Fieldfare - 20 - Landed in rough grass, apparently to roost, early evening.
  • High Bradfield: Brambling - 60+ ; Fieldfare - 30+
  • Longshaw: Brambling - 8 - Discovery Centre ; Kestrel - 1 - Male at the Discovery Centre ; Nuthatch - 1 ; Blue Tit - 10+ ; Tufted Duck - 1 - Female on pond ; Mandarin - 9 - M&F on pond
  • Low Bradfield: Curlew - c100 - Feeding in rough pasture to south of village
  • Middleton Moor: Curlew - 16 - Mid morning
  • Millhouses garden: Blackcap - 1m - male ; Rook - 1 - very unusual visitor
  • Norfolk Park: Mistle Thrush - 1
  • Orgreave Lakes: Oystercatcher - 3 - Including some territorial chasing ; Redshank - 1 ; Redshank - 1 - Briefly over main lake
  • Peat Pits: Golden Plover - 200+ ; Lapwing - 50+
  • R Don, Norfolk Bridge: Goosander - 2 - Pair above weir
  • Ravenfield Park: Mute Swan - 2 - Resident pair. ; Chiffchaff - 1 - Singing Male. ; Tawny Owl - 2 - singles at opposite ends of site. ; Nuthatch - 1 ; Coal Tit - 1 ; Jackdaw - 1 - over calling.
  • Rawmarsh: Black-headed Gull - 2-300 - S in small parties before sunrise
  • Rawmarsh; Blyth Avenue: Greenfinch - 1 - singing
  • Rawmarsh; Rosehill Victoria Park: Chaffinch - 2 - singing ; Blue Tit - 02-Mar - singing ; Woodpigeon - c20 ; Stock Dove - 2 - 1 feeding with WPs; 1 singing ; Nuthatch - 1 - calling
  • Rawmarsh; Warren Vale LNR: Song Thrush - 1 - singing ; Coal Tit - 1 ; Long-tailed Tit - 5+ ; Chaffinch - 2 - singing ; Nuthatch - 2 - inc one singing, Birch Wood ; Goldcrest - 1 - singing, Birch Wood ; Woodpigeon - c300 - flew into Birch Wood from adjacent field
  • Rawmarsh; Warren Vale tip: Common Buzzard - 1 - calling from tree; disturbed by dog walker ; Linnet - 9 ; Mistle Thrush - 1pr
  • Redmires conduit: Stonechat - 1 - male, perched in heather near the pool at the end of the conduit ; Mallard - 1 - on the pool
  • Redmires Middle Res: Oystercatcher - 2 - with Lapwings on south shore at 16:20 ; Curlew - 103 - Single flock of 102 arrived late afternoon to roost an impressive sight; joined by one more later. ; Oystercatcher - 2 - Presumed pair on shoreline ; Lapwing - 160 - 20 on shoreline joined by flock of c.140 early evening
  • Redmires Res: Crossbill - 2 - a pair next to the track to Stanedge Pole. ; Chaffinch - 2 ; Robin - 1 ; Goldcrest - 1 ; Coal Tit - 3 ; Carrion Crow - 1
  • Ringinglow: Fieldfare - 200+ - In fields between Fulwood Lane and Ringinglow Road
  • Rivelin: Sparrowhawk - 1 - 1F landed on garden washing line!
  • Rivelin Valley: Fieldfare - 6 - Feeding in field opposite Crawshaw Head
  • Silver Wood: Tawny Owl - 1 ; Sparrowhawk - 1
  • Soughley Lane, Redmires: Greylag Goose - 42 - Grazing in fields ; Pink-footed Goose - 1 - With Greylags still
