  • Limb Valley, Bole Hill: Red Kite - 1 - Flying over in general direction of Fulwood
  • Lodge Moor: Tree Sparrow - 3 - adults at W end of Lodge Moor Road, one flying off into adjacent fields, presumably to feed
  • Orgreave Lakes: Kingfisher - 1 ; Wheatear - 1 - Male on east shore ; Avocet - 2 - On island
  • Oughtibridge garden: Siskin - 1 - Female
  • Ramsley Res: Grasshopper Warbler - 1 - reeling ; Whinchat - 1 - singing ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - carrying food ; Robin - 1 - carrying food
  • Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Swallow - 1 - N @ 1328hrs
  • Redmires conduit: Curlew - 6 - 2 pairs of adults with one chick each.

  • Rivelin Valley: Dipper - 3 - Two adults and 1 newly fledged on stone near nest.
  • Rud Hill: Curlew - 4 - 2 pairs ; Lapwing - 8 - 4 pairs ; Swift - 4 - NE ; Snipe - 1 - on post
  • Stubley Hollow: Little Owl - 1 juv - First since July 2019 ; Chiffchaff - 3 ; Blackcap - 2
  • Tyzack*s Dam: Coot - 4 - 3 adult,1 young ; Woodpigeon - 1 - flyover ; Blue Tit - 1 ; Mallard - 10 - 2 m, 5f, 3young ; Mandarin - 10, 6m, 2f ; Mallard - 10 - 2 m, 5f, 3young ; Chiffchaff - 1 heard ; Moorhen - 3, 1adult, 2young ; Canada Goose - 6, 2adult, 4young
  • Wharncliffe Heath NR: Pied Flycatcher - 4+ - female on nest brooding at least 3 chicks ; Blackcap - 6 - singing ; Willow Warbler - 10 - singing ; Tree Pipit - 1 - singing ; Garden Warbler - 1 - singing

  • Dore: Bullfinch - 1+ - m with fledged young on garden feeder ; Nuthatch - 1 - collecting food for young from garden feeder
  • Firsby Res: Moorhen - 1 - Feeding on sluice. ; Coot - 7 - Inc Family party of 6. ; Mallard - 4 ; Pied Wagtail - 4 - Adult feeding 4 juvs on sluice. ; 319 - 1 - Carrying Grass Snake. ; Blackcap - 3 - Singing Male, Female feeding juv. ; Reed Warbler - 1 - Singing from usual spot in Sluice reed bed. ; Reed Bunting - 2 ; Song Thrush - 1

  • Markham: Sedge Warbler - 2 - singing in meadows by Great Bear warehouse ; Reed Bunting - 1 - in wet meadow by road to Great Bear warehouse ; Reed Warbler - 3 - singing in reedbed by M1 ; Yellowhammer - 2 - singing on gorse bank by M1 ; Cuckoo - 1 - ad briefly over reedbed by M1
  • Mayfield Valley: Blackcap - 2 - At least two squabbling males on Clough Lane
  • Middleton Moor: Lesser Black-backed Gull - 225 ; Herring Gull - 4 ; Shelduck - 1 ; Reed Warbler - 2 ; Sedge Warbler - 2 ; Black-headed Gull - 1 ; Lapwing - 22 ; Curlew - 1 ; Red Kite - 1
  • Millhouses Park: Mandarin - 10 - Three adults and two broods of three and four. ; Moorhen - 5 - Three adults and two half-grown young. ; Mistle Thrush - 3+ - Adults collecting worms and carrying to nests at either end of the park.

  • Poolsbrook Marsh: Green Woodpecker - 1 ; Cetti's Warbler - 1 - calling loudly by main pool ; Reed Warbler - 4 - singing - including one away from reedbed ; Sedge Warbler - 1 - singing ; Chiffchaff - 3 - singing ; Willow Warbler - 1 - singing - mixed singer with opening notes resembling Chiffchaff, followed by typical WW cascading song ; Reed Bunting - 4 - singing
