Greasbrough: House Martin - 3+ - Active over Church street and Graysons farm.

Greasbrough Dam,Wentworth: Great Crested Grebe - 3 - 2 Adults and juv ; Mute Swan - 9 - family party inc Adult(yellow 828), resting out of water,by fisherman. ; Mallard - 20+ ; 319 - 1 - over fields N side,E end ; Peregrine - 1 - Hunting, causing Lapwings and Black H Gulls to scatter.Had 2 attempts at gulls then continued E @10:35. ; Coot - 6+ ; Moorhen - 1+ ; Lapwing - 40+ - resting in ploughed field S side along with c.30 Black H Gull ; Kingfisher - 1 - @ W end near lodge.

Hurlfield: Swift - 3 - 2 east 19:27 1 south 19:30 over observers house.

Low Common: Swallow - 2

Middlewood: Woodpigeon - 1 - Recently fledged juv on wall

Midhope Res: Little Grebe - 7 ; Tufted Duck - 2 ; 320 - 1

Morley Plantation,(E): Spotted Flycatcher - 2 - fly catching from top of dead tree. ; Kestrel - 1 - male in ploughed fied adj to wood. Also raptor calls from within wood.

Morley Pond: Great Crested Grebe - 1 ; Mute Swan - 1 ; Mallard - 10+ ; Coot - 10+ ; 319 - 1

Norfolk Park: Common Buzzard - 10+ - 10 poss upto 14 birds over Norfolk Pk viewed from Thornborough Rd garden then birds drifted SW. 11:35 - 12:00.

Norton Lees: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Over observer’s garden

Ramsley Moor: Willow Warbler - 3 ; Chiffchaff - 1 ; Whitethroat - 2 ; Siskin - 30 ; Stonechat - 11 - At least 11, mostly juvs, in three separate parties ; Grey Heron - 1

Redmires: Crossbill - 8 - Headed west over Long Causeway

Redmires Res: Canada Goose - 26 - in fields ; Greylag Goose - 20 - flew S in 3 skeins ; Mallard - 42 - arrived from SE ; Kestrel - 3 ; Merlin - 1 - hunting along south side of Middle Res ; Swallow - 120 - flew SW in 2 hrs ; House Martin - 4 - flew SW ; Meadow Pipit - 23 - flew SW in 2 hrs - first evidence of movt ; Tree Pipit - 7 - flew SW in 2 hrs ; Grey Wagtail - 3 - flew S ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 40 - c. arrived from the E inc several obvious intermedius ; Yellow-legged Gull - 1 - ad with LBBs ; Mistle Thrush - 28 - post-breeding flock - a welcome return after last year

Walkley Bank: Swift - 2 - over Walkley Crescent Road.

West Nab: Little Owl - 2 - both alarm calling.

Blacka Plantation: Nightjar - 1 - Accidently flushed from ground near minor footpath.

Brightholmlee: Crossbill - 6 - flew towards Morehall res plantation ; Barn Owl - 1

Castle Dyke: Pied Wagtail - c. 20 - scattered over playing fields
