Manor Fields Park: House Martin - 15+ - min 15 birds over Manor Pk Cres entrance at 11:50 ; Swift - 1 - with H Martins. ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Chiffchaff - c6 - around park 11:50-12:30.

Middleton Moor: Ringed Plover - 5 ; Shelduck - 1 - Juv

Moorland Fringe: Nightjar - 3+ - actve from 20:30, male churring briefly 22:50, 3 birds hawking high up in gloaming, no doubt feeding up before migration.

North Lees: Swallow - 6 ; 319 - 1

Onesmoor: Cuckoo - 1 - juvenile sat on wall, ; Wheatear - 1 - feeding in rape stubble.

RVCP: Egyptian Goose - 4 - Main Lake ; Common Sandpiper - 1 - Meadowgate Lake

Silverwood Lagoon: Osprey - 1 - low over northern end of lagoon at 08.55 then WSW ; Gadwall - 3 ; Little Grebe - 10+ - pair feeding dependent young, 4 other adults, at least 4 independent juvs ; Swallow - 4 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 5 - 2-1-1-1 west ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Canada Goose - 24 - 6 down briefly before being chased off by resident male M Swan, 18 south ; Jay - 12+ - several small parties around pit top ; House Martin - c.20 ; Common Buzzard - 1 ; Jackdaw - 6 - party east ; Pied Wagtail - 1 ; Reed Warbler - 3+ - still a few calling in roadbeds ; Linnet - 10 ; Black-headed Gull - c.60
