Barlborough: Red Kite - 1 - Drifted slowly over the village due south whilst being mobbed by corvids,

Beauchief Golf Course: 319 - 1+ ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - Male in the middle of the 5th fairway, pecking at the ground.

Bents Green: House Martin - 5+ - Collecting mud in playing fields car park on Common Lane

Centenary Riverside: Song Thrush - 4 - 3 singing @05.00-05.30 ; Blackcap - 3 - Singing ; Willow Warbler - 1 - Singing ; Reed Warbler - 1 - Singing briefly ; Moorhen - 2 - On pond , 1 calling ; Mallard - 10 - 4 males river, 1 female with 5 large young edge of pond. ; Wren - 04-May - Singing ; Bullfinch - 2 - Pair foraging on ground on pathways .

Ecclesall: House Sparrow - 48 - nests counted in a 1km square (a decline from 54 nests in 2015). Most breeding pairs in traditional nest sites rather than modern PVC guttering and facials ; Starling - 20 - nests in a 1km square (an increase on the 9 nests found in 2015)

Heeley: House Sparrow - 10+ - 6 males 3 fem and 1st recently fledged young in garden. ; Starling - 4 - 1 adult 3 juv birds over garden. ; Collared Dove - 2 - still visiting garden feeders. ; Goldfinch - 2 ; Blackbird - 1 - male singing ; Magpie - 2 - 1 adult brought 1 young to feeders.

Nether Green garden: Great Tit - 5+ - 4-5 fledged from box 16/5/21. 4 survive and developing well 2 weeks later ; Robin - 4 - 2 active nests in neighbouring gardens, adults feeding young from supp feeding supply ; House Sparrow - 6 - 2 adults with 4 fledged young visiting feeders ; Goldfinch - 3 - 2 adults with one juv visiting feeders
