  • Firsby Res: Redwing - 25+ ; Skylark - 1 - Singing high over site. ; Meadow Pipit - 1 ; Lesser Redpoll - 20+ ; Siskin - 15+ ; Bullfinch - 2 - Pair. ; Goldfinch - 8 - On seed heads ; Long-tailed Tit - 2 ; 324 - 3 - Roe Deer in willows.
  • Kimberworth Park: Starling - 50+ - On pylon and wires adj to allotment @ Barkers Park/Hampstead Green.
  • Norton Lees: 319 - 2 - Soaring near Warminster Road - one noticeably smaller, so probably a pair
  • Rawmarsh: Mistle Thrush - 2 - over to E/NE
  • Wadsley Common garden: Goldfinch - 40 - Perched in sycamore tree.

  • Bolehill Flash: Water Rail - 2+ - calling ; Chiffchaff - 1 - in with Long-tailed Tits
  • Canklow Woods: Lesser Redpoll - 28 - flock of 28
  • Catcliffe Flash: Black-headed Gull - 40+ ; Wigeon - 25+ ; Tufted Duck - 3 ; Gadwall - 30+ ; Long-tailed Tit - 3 ; Wren - 1
  • Coal Aston: Starling - c130 - on wire ; Kestrel - 1
  • Elsecar Res: Wigeon - 2 ; Moorhen - 30 ; Common Buzzard - 1 ; Great Crested Grebe - 14 ; Jay - 1 ; Grey Heron - 1

  • Kiveton Community Woodland: Golden Plover - 21 - in fields ; Blackbird - 8 ; Woodcock - 1 - flushed into open ; Long-tailed Tit - 41 - in 3 flocks ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Blue Tit - 8 ; Bullfinch - 3 ; Lesser Redpoll - 20 - c. ; Reed Bunting - 1 ; Goldcrest - 2
  • Moss Valley, upper, near Coal Aston: Kestrel - 1 ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 ; Tawny Owl - 1 - heard
  • Norfolk Heritage Park: Carrion Crow - 60+ - Feeding on mown grasssland; looked like they were finding and eating Turkey Oak acorns that have been buried by the numerous Grey Squirrels that inhabit the park. ; Woodpigeon - c30 - Feeding on mown grassland; probably on acorns.
  • Norton Lees garden: Blackcap - 1 - male ; Redwing - 2+
  • Orgreave: Peregrine - 1 - Imm female ; Lesser Redpoll - c.300 - Along riverside trees
  • Orgreave Lakes: CASPIAN GULL - 1 - 1st winter ; Brent Goose - 1 ; Pochard - 80+ ; Goldeneye - 4 - 2M, 2F ; Little Grebe - 3 ; Great Crested Grebe - 1 - Immature ; Tufted Duck - 20+ ; Black-headed Gull - 150+ ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 30+ ; Great Black-backed Gull - 14 ; 320 - 10+ ; Lapwing - 35+ ; Greylag Goose - 9 ; Grey Heron - 1 ; Cormorant - 3 ; Goosander - 3 - 1M, 2 Redheads ; Stonechat - 3 ; Wigeon - 1 - Male ; Brent Goose - 1 - Dark-bellied Brent flew in from the east at 15.25. Then roosted with the gulls until dark. ; CASPIAN GULL - 1 - First winter
