• Dale Dyke: Woodpigeon - 200+ - several flocks of 20-80 flying along valley towards Strines Res for approx 1 hour ; Fieldfare - c10 - one flock with Woodpigeon flock ; Kestrel - 1 - hover hunting ; Siskin - c5 - flying to tree tops ; Magpie - 1 ; Starling - c5 - flock flying overhead ; Pheasant - c10 - males and females ; Robin - 2 ; Goldcrest - 1 ; Blue Tit - 1 ; Wren - 1
• Dog Kennel Pond: Black-headed Gull - 30+ ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1
• Ecclesall Woods: Mandarin - 28-29 - ESE over Whirlow Playing Field and Wood 3 at dusk, presumably from Whirlow Brook Park and heading to roost at either Tyzack's Dam or Beauchief Abbey Ponds
• Hurkling Edge: Kestrel - 1 - hover hunting
• Kelham Island: Kingfisher - 1 - flying downstream ; Goosander - 1 - red-head diving
• Low Common, Scholes: Grey Heron - 4 ; Meadow Pipit - 1+ ; Redwing - 20+ - E over Rockingham Wood with lesser numbers of Fieldfare ; Linnet - 50+ ; Reed Bunting - 1
• Middle Common, Scholes: 319 - 1 - on central telegraph pole ; Meadow Pipit - 6+ ; Magpie - c20 - up from cover crop ; Kestrel - 1
• Millhouses Park: Fieldfare - 450+ - SSW between 07:45 and 09:00. ; Moorhen - 2 - The only water birds on the River Sheaf today and all the previous week. ; Sparrowhawk - 2
