  • Midhope Res: 320 - 1 ; 319 - 1 ; House Martin - 2 ; Linnet - 5+ ; 324 - 4 - Roe Deer - male ; 324 - 4 - Roe Deer - Female with two well grown fawns, separate from male
  • Moscar: Lapwing - 20+
  • Moss Valley, upper: Skylark - 2 - singing near Povey Farm ; Nuthatch - 1 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Pied Wagtail - 1
  • Orgreave Lakes: Whooper Swan - 3 - dropped in at c07:45 ; Whooper Swan - 41 - another 41 flew north at 09:35 ; Whooper Swan - 3 ; Common Buzzard - 3 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - Single female calling loudly ; Whooper Swan - 3 - still present till 16.34. Probably got sick of the constant bullying from the mute swans ; Goldeneye - 4 - 3 males lots of display ; Goosander - 14 - At dusk ; Meadow Pipit - 6 - feeding on north shore ; Pied Wagtail - 4 - feeding on norther shore ; Skylark - 6+ - 6 birds feeding on northern shore+ serval other signing.

  • Porter Brook: Common Buzzard - 2 - separate singles up soaring
  • R Don, Oughtibridge: Dipper - 2 ; Goosander - 2 - pair
  • Rawmarsh: Sparrowhawk - 01-Feb - single(s) over @ 0925 & 1245hrs
  • Redmires Res: Mistle Thrush - 2 - singing ; Herring Gull - 8 - on Middle Res ; Black-headed Gull - 3 - drifted NE ; Whooper Swan - 31 - Four ads on Top Res + 18 ads N at 07:52 hrs + 9 ads W at 10:10 hrs ; Tufted Duck - 2 - on Top Res ; Goosander - 1 - male flew W at 09:30 hrs ; 320 - 6 ; Common Buzzard - 3 - pair + 1 over Broadshaw Plantation ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Oystercatcher - 2 - on Middle Res ; Lapwing - 40 - c. ; Redshank - 2 - arrived on Middle res at 07:45 hrs ; Fieldfare - 100 - c. flew NNW ; Redwing - 50 - c. flew NNW ; Reed Bunting - 3 - singing ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing by Middle Res ; Snipe - 1 - chipping south side of Middle Res ; Pied Wagtail - 3 ; Grey Wagtail - 4 - two pairs on Middle Res ; Linnet - 30 - feeding in two separate flocks on Middle Res

  • Upper Midhope: Fieldfare - 9 - in field opp car parking area ; Blackbird - 4 ; Robin - 03-Apr ; Oystercatcher - 1 - in rough pasture ; Curlew - 04-May - calling and displaying ; Lapwing - 12 + - Displaying ; Skylark - 03-Apr - all singing
  • Walkley: Chiffchaff - 1 - In edge of Toft Wood
  • Waverley industrial estate: Grey Partridge - 2 - 2 singing males from rough ground

  • Aldwarke: Mute Swan - 5 - SW @ 0643hrs ; Raven - 1 - single(s) over Aldwarke Lane towards Liberty @ 0654hrs, then circling over, rolling & calling before returning to Liberty @ 0810 & 0845hrs ; Song Thrush - 1 - singing ; Blackbird - 1 - leucistic male with white rump and odd white feathers in each wing ; Long-tailed Tit - 1 ; Magpie - 16 - together ; Siskin - 2+ ; Grey Heron - 1 - imm, NE ; Linnet - 1 - singing ; Common Buzzard - 1 ; Lapwing - 9 - inc aerial display
  • Arbourthorne: Mallard - 8 - 6 male 2 female on pond. ; Moorhen - 1 - in reeds on pond
