• Moorwood Farm, Stannington: Lapwing - 2 - 1 adult with 1 chick in horse pasture on north side of Moorwood Lane
• Orgreave Lakes: Wood Sandpiper - 1 - present until 06.00 ; Whimbrel - 1 - Came from the south and looked to have landed on the plains ; Common Sandpiper - 4 ; Oystercatcher - 8 ; Yellow Wagtail - 1 ; Wheatear - 2 - 2 male Greenland's on the plains ; Wheatear - 2 ; Willow Warbler - 1 - Singing ; Goosander - 1 - Male in river ; Grey Wagtail - 2 ; Whitethroat - 3 - Singing ; Little Egret - 1 ; Great Crested Grebe - 15 - 1 on nest on edge of island ; Black-headed Gull - 45+ ; Swallow - 2 ; Pied Wagtail - 2 ; Sand Martin - 10+ ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 8 ; Greylag Goose - 10 ; Tufted Duck - 25+ ; Skylark - 6 ; Grey Heron - 1 - Usual bird feeding again along length of weir. ; Lapwing - 7 ; Gadwall - 11 ; Pochard - 2 ; Reed Bunting - 4 - Males singing ; Shoveler - 2 ; Meadow Pipit - 1 ; Linnet - 8 ; Kestrel - 1 ; Common Tern - 1 ; Canada Goose - 20+ - Sitting on nests + 1 pair had 3 goslings

• Redmires Res: Greylag Goose - 20 - c. including 3 prs with 12 young ; Moorhen - 2 - 1 on nest by Top Res + 1 on small pond in Hammonds Field ; Whitethroat - 3 - singing ; Grasshopper Warbler - 3 - reeling by Middle Res ; Common Buzzard - 1 - carrying food into Redmires Plantation by Bottom Res ; Kestrel - 1 ; Common Sandpiper - 4 ; Curlew - 5 ; Willow Warbler - 25 - c. ; Chiffchaff - 3 - singing ; Redstart - 2 - singing ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 3 - males drumming in plantations by Top, Middle and Bottom Reservoirs

• Upper Commons: Hobby - 2 - catching insects and up together between Margery Hill and Brusten Croft. ; Whimbrel - 1 - over E calling at 15:45
• Wadsley Common garden: Garden Warbler - 1 - singing ; Swallow - 3 - still in and out of outbuilding
• Walkworth Wood: Whitethroat - 1 - singing
• Wharncliffe Chase: Lapwing - 06-Jul - Very territorial, assumed young present but not seen. ; Green Woodpecker - 2 ; 319 - 1 ; Skylark - 47 - Widespread singing and territorial behaviour ; Tree Pipit - 22 - Numerous singing/display and foraging on ground. ; Meadow Pipit - c55 - Numerous with many visiting suspected nest sites. ; Pied Flycatcher - Pair - Male singing with both visiting suspected nest site. First time seen in this area of the Chase. ; Swallow - 9 - 2’s and 3’s moving north. ; Mistle Thrush - 7+ - Song plus food carrying. ; Stonechat - 7 - At least 3 pairs. ; Willow Warbler - 20+ - singing ; Linnet - 12 - Song plus collecting nest materials. ; Blackcap - 3 - singing ; Oystercatcher - 1 - North calling - first record for site ; Chiffchaff - 3 - singing ; Goldcrest - 1 - singing ; Curlew - 1 ; Yellowhammer - 2 - singing ; Stock Dove - 5 - 2 pairs, display flight ; Redstart - 2 - singing
