Norfolk Park: 319 - 3 - 2, and for a while 3, soaring together; briefly joined by Peregrine Falcon ; Peregrine - 1

Orgreave Lakes: Grey Wagtail - 1+ ; Great Crested Grebe - 1 - Nest with one egg. ; Dunlin - 1 ; Willow Warbler - 1 - mixed singer, started off as Chiffchaff, then morphed into Willow Warbler. Bird looked like a WW. ; Common Tern - 2

Parkwood Springs: Willow Warbler - 3 - Singing on the hillside of the old ski runs, collecting nesting material amongst scrub ; Chiffchaff - 12 ; Blackcap - 15 ; Woodpigeon - 10 - in flight individuals and pairs ; Skylark - 1 - Singing ; Linnet - 3 - Feeding on buddleia ; Whitethroat - 5 - Singing ; Chaffinch - 1

Peat Pits: Wheatear - 2 - m & f ; Lapwing - 8 - inc 2 chicks on Horse paddock.

Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Greenfinch - 1 - song/aerial display ; Blackbird - 1+ - female feeding 1+ fledged young

Redmires Res: Greylag Goose - 20 - c. inc 3 prs with 12 young ; Tufted Duck - 4 ; Kestrel - 1 - male ; Lapwing - 6 - several pairs displaying on Middle a Res ; Common Sandpiper - 6 - 3 pairs ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 2 - ads ; Herring Gull - 5 ; Mandarin - 1 - male flew W - apparently up to 5 males & a female present on ponds west of the Top Res ; Grasshopper Warbler - 3 - reeling ; Swallow - 10 ; Redstart - 2 - singing ; Moorhen - 1 - still sat on nest by Top Res

Silverwood Lagoon: Common Sandpiper - 1 - in briefly in light drizzle at 06.40 ; Cormorant - 1 - SW at 09.00 First site record this year ; Reed Warbler - 4 - singing

Wharncliffe Heath NR: Pied Flycatcher - 1+ - 5 active nests

Bole Hill, Treeton: Peregrine - 1 - 2cy sat on pylon until disturbed by 2 Ravens.

Bolehill Flash: Blue Tit - 1 - Single bird showing leg ring.

Cowell Flat: Bar-tailed Godwit - 1 - reported in fields tonight.

Emlin Moor, Agden: Woodcock - 2 - both roding at dusk.

Ladybower Dam: Swallow - 10+ ; Sand Martin - 4 ; House Martin - 15+ ; Raven - 2

Langsett Res: Great Crested Grebe - 3 ; Common Sandpiper - 1

Malin Bridge: Starling - 20+ - Norris Rd garden, coming down to mealworms and taking them away to feed their chicks

Midhope Res: Cuckoo - 1 - Male dropped in then flew back towards moorland. ; Tufted Duck - 10 - 5 pairs ; 320 - 1 - male ; Common Sandpiper - 2 - a pair ; Oystercatcher - 2 - a pair ; Swallow - 5 ; Little Grebe - 3 ; Curlew - 30+ - Flitting between waters edge and surrounding fields.

Millhouses: Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - Hastings Rd - killed by collision with window glass after being pursued by Sparrowhawk

Orgreave Lakes: Wheatear - 2 - Greenland subsp on North end main lake ; Whinchat - 1 - North end. At far end of construction fence near houses. ; Dunlin - 1 ; Ringed Plover - 4 - Straight through with the Dunlin. ; Hobby - 1 - Attempting to take a Sand Martin. Then left north east. ; Wheatear - 3 - 2 on plains, 1 in bund. .All northern birds. ; Sedge Warbler - 1 - Singing in sedges on Eastern shore.
