  • Burngreave: Waxwing - 14 - feeding on Cotoneasters in ATI compound adjacent to Tesco petrol station on Saville St.
  • Canklow: Carrion Crow - 2 - Nest building in tree next to AMG works. Courtship display observed.
  • Catcliffe Flash: Mute Swan - 2 - ad pair ; Gadwall - 19 ; Pochard - 7 ; Tufted Duck - 15 ; Cormorant - 2 ; Little Grebe - 2 ; Great Crested Grebe - 1 ; Coot - 13 ; Black-headed Gull - 2 - 2 2CY
  • Crosspool: Grey Wagtail - 1 - Tapton field near school.
  • Dore: Whooper Swan - 5 - Flying east at 16.45.
  • Graves Park: Lesser Spotted Woodpecker - 2 - Male drumming at 06:30 in same location as previously reported; near the Charles Ashmore Road car park. Drumming of another bird heard in response. ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2 ; Ring-necked Parakeet - 1 - One in trees around the farm and ponds. ; Ring-necked Parakeet - 2 - Pair flew east

  • Graves Park: Lesser Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - 1 female seen drumming at around 7.30am, SK350820 NW of Charles Ashmore road.

  • Howden Clough: Raven - 2 - Flying over skyline to the south of Howden Clough

  • Brightside: Herring Gull - c75 - roosting on warehouse roof 18:30. No sign of Iceland Gull since last Thursday. ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 17 ; Great Black-backed Gull - 2
  • Canklow: Waxwing - 11 - feeding In ash trees on Canklow Hill Rd at 09:40
  • Canklow Woods: Chiffchaff - 3 - 3 singing ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - male displaying at 1300
  • Clowne: Waxwing - small flock - feeding on cotoneaster berries on Chestnut Drive this morning
  • Endcliffe Park: Dipper - 2 - Close to Hunters' Bar at 06:45 ; Treecreeper - 2 - Pair in tree beside top pond
  • Graves Park: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2 - Pair, male drumming and pair calling between rain showers in woods 150m NW of Charles Ashmoor Carpark ; . Also Nuthatch - 6 ; Stock Dove - 4, Treecreeper - 2 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - female
