Attercliffe: Herring Gull - c80 - inc a York yellow ringed bird ; Great Black-backed Gull - 40 - inc a colour ringed adult

Ewden Cabin: Fieldfare - 35 ; Redwing - 5 ; Bullfinch - 1 - male ; Raven - 1 ; Merlin - 1 ; Kestrel - 1

Howden Res: PARROT CROSSBILL - 7+ - At least 7 in a flock of 12 birds, preening in trees next to their favoured puddle at 9.30 and again at 10.10. Same spot as previous reports, up steep track next to 7km marker. Orgreave Lakes: Scaup - 1 - 1st winter, present since November still on big lake early morning. ; 328 - 1 - Regular returning Ferruginous type among Pochard.
