Howden Res: PARROT CROSSBILL - 12 - above Howden Res this morning ; PARROT CROSSBILL - 12 - still at Howden this morning on and off in mist and low cloud, in with flock of 20+ Commons at times, and didn't use puddles at all today

Walkley garden: Starling - 1 - single starling - 1st time observed feeding on fat balls at this site ; Redwing - 1 - single bird on cotoneaster disturbed by blackbird.

Crookes Valley Park: Siskin - 7 - feeding in larches - not common here ; Mallard - 20 - included copulating pair ; Coot - 5 ; Moorhen - 6 ; Black-headed Gull - 43 ; Redwing - 4 - in treetops

Edge Mount: Skylark - 23 - dropped in to roost at dusk in rape field on Delf rd ?.

Endcliffe Park: Kingfisher - 1 - lower lake at 14:45

Handsworth: Kestrel - 1 - Resting on lamppost on Parkway.

Heeley: Bullfinch - 2m - 2 m over near Broadfield Road

Howden Res: PARROT CROSSBILL - 02-Apr - at least 2-4 in a mixed flock of Parrot and Common Crossbills, feeding in pine trees c 100 yds from their favoured puddle.
