Millhouses Park: Black-headed Gull - Approx 50 - Foraging. One in breeding plumage ('black' head). Quite a large number compared to past years.

Northern General Hospital: Mistle Thrush - 1 - singing well before dawn at Barnsley Road entrance

Orgreave Lakes: Scaup - 1 - 1st yr drake still present ; Skylark - 30 ; Grey Partridge - 14 ; Meadow Pipit - 20 - Plains ; Stonechat - 1 - fem tip edge at southern end of small lake. ; Goosander - 47 - No gull roost ; 320 - 18

Oughtibridge garden: Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Lesser Redpoll - 1

Pit-house West: BITTERN - 1 - Flew to roost at 16:45 ; Water Rail - 2 - 2 calling ; Cetti's Warbler - 1 - probable heard calling in reedbed at Bittern Pool late afternoon
