Barbrook Plantation: Tree Pipit - 1 ; Lesser Redpoll - 2 ; Cuckoo - 1 - Singing from the other side of the A621

Barbrook Pools: Tufted Duck - 2 - 1 pair

Barbrook Valley: Ring Ouzel - 2 ; Whinchat - 2 ; Wheatear - 1 ; Peregrine - 1

Big Moor: Cuckoo - 1 - Calling

Blacka Moor (Strawberry Lea): Cuckoo - 2 - pr,in flight ; Tree Pipit - 5 - displaying males ; Song Thrush - 5 - singing ; Stonechat - 2 - m/f ; Whitethroat - 1

Broomhead Moor: Red Kite - 2 - 2 birds moving highacross the moor heading west south west. ; Raven - 4 - Raven along with 2 Red Kite and up to 6 common Buzzard out west over Broomhead. Many Swifts and at least 2/3 Cuckoos .

Burbage Valley: Ring Ouzel - 1 - Singing

Canklow Woods: Common Buzzard - 2 - in the air together at 1030 ; Whitethroat - 2 - singing ; Mistle Thrush - 1 - carrying food

Causeway Head: Lapwing - 1 chick - viewed from roadside

Chancet Wood: Mandarin - Pair

Chesterfield: Swift - 10+ - Over Lidl and town centre

Dennis Knoll: Cuckoo - 1 - Calling

Dog Kennel Pond: Great Crested Grebe - 1 ; Grey Heron - 1 ; Greylag Goose - 10 ; Canada Goose - 2 ; Mallard - 10+ ; Tufted Duck - 3 - 1pr+1male ; Moorhen - 1 ; Black-headed Gull - 10 ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Blackcap - 2 - sing ; Chaffinch - 2 - 1sing and female bathing in overflow

Frecheville Pond: Mute Swan - 9 - Pair with 7 tiny cygnets ; Coot - 4 - Two pairs, one pair with 3 small chicks

Graves Park: 321 - 1 ; Tufted Duck - 16 - 12m,4f ; Canada Goose - Pair with 6 goslings

Greystones: Swift - 3 - Over observer's garden

Holmebrook Valley Park: Mallard - 40+ - 2 broods of ducklings. (9 +11) ; Great Crested Grebe - 2 - Pair with nest ; Blackcap - 1 ; Willow Warbler - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 2 ; Mute Swan - 3 - Male by nest and last years cygnet and female on lake

Hutcliffe Wood Cemetery: Ring-necked Parakeet - 1

Longshaw: Mandarin - 2 - males near pond ; Redstart - 1 - Singing not far from the pond ; Red Grouse - 1

Middle Common: 319 - 1 ; Whitethroat - 1 - sing

Middleton Moor: Ringed Plover - 3 ; Dunlin - 1 ; Shelduck - 2 ; Tufted Duck - 4 - 2 pairs ; 320 - 3 - All males ; Mallard - 1 - Female with brood of 12 small young.

Midhope Moor: Marsh Harrier - 1 - Prob 1st summer male ; Red Kite - 1 ; Merlin - 1 - Male mobbing kite . Also seen to be taking insects prob Hawthorn/ St Marks flys.

Morley Pond: Great Crested Grebe - 4 ; Mute Swan - 1 ; Tufted Duck - 2 - 1pr ; Mallard - 20+ - inc female with 7 chicks ; Whitethroat - 1 - sing ; Blackcap - 1 - sing ; Chiffchaff - 1 - sing ; Blackbird - 1 - sing ; Swallow - 1 ; 319 - 2 - soaring closley over lake and Peacock Lodge farm

Orgreave Lakes: Wood Sandpiper - 1 - on small lake early morning ; Common Sandpiper - 2 ; Redshank - 1 ; Goosander - 2 - resting on small lake ; Wood Sandpiper - 1 - still present at 12:00 ; Wood Sandpiper - 1 - still present at 14:00 ; Common Sandpiper - 2
