  • Meersbrook Park: Song Thrush - 1 - Heard ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - Heard
  • Orgreave Lakes: Cuckoo - 1 ; Grey Partridge - 2 ; Arctic Tern - 8 - North at 07:00 ; Common Sandpiper - 1
  • R Don, Rotherham Centre; Chantry Bridge: Sand Martin - 12+ - over area; birds seen entering 3-4 holes

  • R Don, Norfolk Bridge: Lesser Black-backed Gull - c50 - perceived influx. One colour ring, not read. ; Herring Gull - c20 - mainly immatures, a few adults
  • R Sheaf, Heeley: Grey Wagtail - 1
  • Ringinglow: Swallow - 1 - near Norfolk Arms
  • Sothall: Starling - 10+ - first juveniles fledged in the area. ; Great Tit - 9 - Brood of 7 seven fledged early morning. 19 days after hatching, matching the species average exactly.
  • Stocksbridge/Stone Moor area: Pied Wagtail - 1 ; Goldfinch - 3 ; Greenfinch - 1 ; Linnet - 4 ; Meadow Pipit - 4 ; Skylark - 1 ; Lapwing - 15+ - in field at bottom of moor ; Curlew - 2 - flying around area calling ; 319 - 1 - flew from ground into large tree in field at bottom of moor ; Red Kite - 1 - flew over from N.NE.circled area for about 10 mins. then left towards Bradfield ; Willow Warbler - 04-May - all singing in small mixed wood on moor ; Wren - 1 ; Chaffinch - 3 ; Carrion Crow - 3 ; Rook - 22
